Mazel tov to Misha Lerner, a 4th-grader at D.C.'s Jewish Primary Day School, who had the knowledge, curiosity and chutzpah to ask Condoleezza Rice about waterboarding when she appeared at the school for what she figured was the usual litany of innocuous kid questions. Evidently Misha wanted to ask a blunter question – if you worked for Obama, would you push for torture? – but the school censored it. Still, Misha, and presumably his parents, did a fine job of speaking truth to power. Rice's response, in contrast, was bull; she repeated her earlier claim that the administration "would do nothing, nothing, that was against the law."
