Iowa has become the third state nationwide – and the first in the Midwest – to make gay marriage legal.
The Iowa Supreme Court ruled unanimously that the state's same-sex
marriage ban is unconstitutional, even if it is "supported by
strong and deep-seated traditional beliefs." 

"Iowa
is about justice, and that's what happened here today," said Laura
Fefchak, hosting a verdict party.
