Last week, SCHIP passed quickly through the House and Senate Finance committee, and the House of Representatives. The Senate's passage of SCHIP, says MomsRising, would be "a huge step forward" toward protecting children and ensuring more comprehensive health care reform. If Congress acts fast, a fully funded SCHIP and the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, restoring women’s right to challenge unequal pay, could be among the first bills on President Obama's desk.
