Osama bin Laden: Murder Without a Corpse
In a photograph, Bush is shown in an Army jacket, his hands holding a tray with a picture-perfect turkey, garlanded by grapes. He is surrounded by American troops, most of whom are not looking at him. This is meant to convey that the photo was spontaneous, casual, and not posed. It is authentic.
In another photograph, Obama is shown in the Situation Room of the White House, surrounded by his top security advisors. They are watching something. Of the thirteen faces, none is looking at the camera. Again, this is to convey that the photo was natural and spontaneous. Obama is shown in a casual jacket, Biden in shirt sleeves, details that indicate they are at work, and not posing for a propaganda photo, god forbid. This image is so authentic, in fact, that it borders on the illicit. This was a secret session, after all. That’s why all of the laptop monitors have been blackened out, and the photo in front of Hillary Clinton has been blurred. We should be thankful, then, at this courtesy peep at a scene we shouldn’t even have access to. The spontaneity is also reinforced by an unfamiliar face at the back, peeking in. She is younger and shorter than the rest, truly a little person among heavyweights, nearly all of whom are men, by the way, yet only the most cynical would conclude that this small woman was added to double the female representation in the room. A really tall and large woman would not do. Like that worm in the British royal wedding photo, this tiny woman provides just enough intrigue without distracting.
As we all know, Bush served up a plastic turkey, so the turkey propaganda photo was itself a turkey, but a much bigger turkey is the Situation Room image. Releasing it, the White House explained that Obama and company were watching the raid and execution of Bin Laden in real time, with the snuff film made possible by a camera mounted on the helmet of a Navy Seal. Now, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that any head during a firefight is not likely to be stationary, not long enough, in any case, to broadcast steadily and clearly to the folks back home, not unless it wants to be a dead head, that is.
“Hey, Seal with the camera, run up that stairs and fix your gaze on Geronimo, will you? Remember to stand still and don’t duck, so our Commander in Chief will have a vivid stream of images, OK?”
Soon after, the White House explained that there was no live feed of the crucial moment, after all, that the camera actually didn’t work for 25 of the 38-minute raid, so there was absolutely no video footage of Bin Laden, but why this sudden reversal? Can’t these people work out their lies before they broadcast them to us?
The White House had to backtrack because it had painted itself into a corner. It had already refused to produce photos of a dead Bin Laden. He had been shot above the eye, it said, shattering his skull, so such a gory image would inflame Muslim sentiments. “We don’t want to spike the football,” Obama explained. But if we can’t see a dead Bin Laden, how about a photo of him alive? If a helmet mounted camera could deliver a live feed to the Situation Room, surely it can produce at least one image of Bin Laden with his head still intact, and in that house? But this, too, was out of the question, incredibly enough.
With webcams, surveillance cameras, Google street view and the ubiquitous camera phones, it seems that the entire world is always photographed, or ready to be photographed these days, that anyone at any moment can be captured by that voracious shutter, then uploaded onto a screen. There are cameras hidden inside pens, books, boom boxes, clocks, air purifiers and smoke detectors. You can probably google any name, a grade school chum, your first lover, long lost cat, dead grandma, bless her soul, and find photos of them online, uploaded by the Pentagon, or maybe God himself.
We are drowning in photographs, most of which we can do without, yet the one the image that everyone wants to see this week, of a Bin Laden dead or alive during the raid, is not available. Instead, we are treated to a wealth of irrelevant information. We are told that there was “a hero dog” involved; that Obama and company had turkey pita wraps, cold shrimp, potato chips and soda, bought from Costco, the cheapo outlet—how nice, this common man touch—in the Situation Room; that Obama has met to congratulate his commandos, all highly intelligent and responsible family men between the ages of 30 and 40. Whatever.
The Bin Laden photos would not matter if there was a corpse, but that too, has gone missing. Less than six hours after news came that he had been killed, it was announced that Bin Laden had already been tossed into the ocean. The official explanation: The US must respect the Islamic tradition that a corpse be buried within 24 hours, and since no country was willing to be his final host, not even Saudi Arabia, his homeland, Bin Laden had to be dumped where he could never be exhumed. How convenient. Case closed!
Such respect for a Muslim corpse from a country that seems to be fighting Muslims everywhere, that kills, imprisons and tortures Muslims, whose soldiers draped panties and smeared shit on Muslim heads, raped Muslim women and collected Muslim ears as trophies. America hasn’t exactly been shy about abusing Muslims, dead or alive, so why this sudden delicacy? Remember also that Uday and Qusay Hussein were killed by American troops on July 22, 2003, then buried on August 2, 11 days later.
So the CIA is basically saying to us, The dog ate my cadaver, but, hey, if it can’t show us something, maybe it never had it, especially since it is a chronic liar and in the cloak and dagger business. For most English-language trials since the disappearance of William Harrison in 1660, there has been the principle of no corpse, no murder, but here you actually have an open admission of murder, widely broadcast, but no corpse, which is tantamount to destruction of evidence, whatever it was.
So without a cadaver or even the flimsy evidence of a photoshopped photograph, what is there to this sensational murder, really? Nothing but words from the CIA and the White House. Though they lied to us about Jessica Lynch’s “rescue” and Pat Tillman’s murder, we are to believe them this time because they have suddenly decided to speak the truth. Honestly.

Show AllIt interesting how the media tries to promote the narrative as advanced by the United States Government. It very much the same tactics used when people questioned the presence of WMDs in Iraq.
They appear to be shocked when s person they interview suggests this all a psy-ops.
As in "what? Are you serious? You really believe this was fabricated?" They then totally ignore the lack of evidence and just persist in this vein.
"You really can not be serious!? Can you repeat what you said for the listening audience?" It does not matter whether the person being interviewed lays out his or her case such as.
Using the example of Pat Tillman and Jessica Lynch. Mentioning the lies told about the WMDs. Pointing out that the CIA admitted openly it was fabricating Bin Laden tapes. Mentioning all of the press reports of Bin Laden having died years ago. Pointing out how the story continually changed.
All of this is talked over and ignored and the person is more or less mocked as some sort of loony for even suggesting this all faked.
The viewing audience do not see themselves as a loony so they chuckle along with the interviewer.
To add to this farce the US Government now claims they had the home in question under surveillance by the CIA for months yet in all of that time did not take a single picture of Osama Bin Laden entering or leaving.
They claim there was none which begs the question, how did they conclude he was in there?
Yes, but that would mean using one's own brain, which is unpatriotic itself. And.
Questioning the navy seals, which would also be unpatriotic.
Exactly the same treatment given to those of us who point out the glaring unanswered questions regarding the events of 9/11.
TV programs, the Military Channel, are already bragging about the Navy Seals and the success of the self professed vaunted Pentagon's propaganda of mindlessness sociopathic, psychopathic, happy talk psychobabble of optimism. 1 st their will be the quickie TV movies about our warrior hero Seals, to be followed by the Blockbuster movie from Hollywood, all made with Pentagon approved scripts and with Pentagon financing these propaganda films promoting warmongering, violence and atrocities. No mention will be made of the $5,000,000,000,000 trillion it cost and the 10 years it took to catch OBL. nothing will be mentioned about the fact that Bush fled D.C. on 911, coincidentally, and used school child in Florida as human shields hostages for protection. Not to mention that Bush delayed any response, before he ran and hid across the country, not knowing whether it was a nuclear attack, which it could have well been, unless Bush knew otherwise.
Re: bogi666 comment:
You are an IDIOT!....Everything that Bush did that day was to prevent scaring the kids in school...You are a complete fool to even state that he was using the kids as human shields....You G.D MORON!.....And his leaving and going into hiding was Miltary and Government Protocol...he had no choice....the military "took" him to a safe location....I can't believe someone as simple minded and clueless as you is even allowed to express your uninformed and totally ignorant opinions of a situation you obviously have chosen to remain ignorant about.....
The situation, as it stood, when he was at the school, was still fluid and unfolding, and he and the military didn't know anything beyond the fact that our nation was being attacked...The extent of the attack at that point was unknown and it was the immediate responsibility of the government and the military to remove the president to a safe location where he and our government could safely observe and make necessary decisions.....It truely infuriates me to witness ignorace such as yours....
Truth hurts and bursting Bush's bubble and your insane disregard of the facts prove it. The fact that Bush didn't know what kind of attack, your remarks, whether it be nuclear or otherwise and his delay means he knew he wasn't/or the country as a whole was in jeopardy. He hid behind school children using them as a shield. Your anti psychotic meds need to be increased or changed.
Thank you, Linh Dinh. Perfect.
Agreed, Anne
I agree, too.
Happy Mother's Day to any ladies in the forum with blessed children.
My sentiments exactly, Anne.
My expatriate older brother, the only brother I've got, generally shares my political sentiments and reads CommonDreams regularly. But he's more mellow and conciliatory than I am. For instance, several years ago he told me that he'd stopped reading comments here because they can be so nasty, angry, vicious, etc.
I still occasionally e-mail him my own CD comments. Yesterday, during an Internet video chat, he gently took me to task for a comment I'd written to Tom Engelhardt's "Dead and Alive: Osama's American Legacy"* article published here the other day.
In a nutshell, he thinks I'm too hard on writers like Engelhardt; he agreed with and appreciated my comment on its merits, but regretted that I don't seem to give guys like Engelhardt credit for being "95% on the right track", i.e. seeing through Team Obama hype, actually attacking and critiquing the Amerikan Empire in the first place, and so forth.
He restated the clichéd criticism that the "Left" is fatally prone to vicious and unremitting internecine criticism and conflict, and thus never "gets itself together" to make common cause to "attack" the "real" enemy. He thought my critique exhibited this unfortunate tendency.
I bore this criticism gracefully, but my response amounted to "c'est la vie". I agreed to the extent that when I read a given CD article, I tend to respond to the merits of the piece and don't particularly consider where the writer is "coming from".
Of course, over time one can't regularly visit CD and NOT recognize certain "types", e.g. the "Nation" liberal-lites, the inveterate GOP-bashing die-hard Democrats like Reich, Kuttner, Hightower et al, etc.
I reminded my brother that indeed, for better or worse, over the decades I seem to have instinctively hollowed out a signature rhetorical niche in accordance with a phrase from Bob Dylan's "Queen Jane Approximately" that burned into my heart the first time I heard it: "Trying to prove that your conclusions should be more drastic".
And we left it at that.
All this to say that when I read Linh Dinh's articles, especially this one, they have a sweet ring of truth and clarity. I truly wish I felt that way about more of the material published here, and didn't instead so often find myself scratching so furiously at all the places that make me itch.

I wholeheartedly concur, and relate.
scribe:
A person who appreciates and compliments excellence is on the right path to attain it himself. Good on you.
Obedient Servant
Well written and I totally agree.
Linh Dinh is perhaps the best thing out of Vietnam since the US military and Pho soup. I'm reminded of Mark Twain.
Obedient Servant: I agree with you. I am very glad that there are few people, like yourself, who time and time again demonstrate that they are better equipped to be the "media we want to see" than the sycophantic authors passing themselves off as social critics, the tired hacks who unduly earn a wage for being cheerleaders and dupes for the empire.
Wow.
Great post. Completely agree. It's exactly what I do love about the posts here OS.
TomDispatch is coming around and I've contacted Tom 100's of times over the years. Since he's been designated persona non Grata by the State Department is an indication he's coming around. When Tom finally accepts the fact that former Repubican National Chairman Ed Rollins admitted that the Repubican Party uses NAZI Party tactics, which Rollins admitted during an impromptu local TV interview in the mid 90's, when Rollins replied "if the tactics worked for the Nazi's they will work for us[the Repubican Party] why wouldn't we[the Republican Party] use them[the NAZI tacitcs]". When and if Tom accepts the gravity of the Repubican Party's goal of a Fascist government for the USA and a Indonesian type society complete with military dictator, he will deny the evil that the Repubican Party wants for American. The father of the Koch brothers called President Eisenhower a communist dupe probably because Ike defeated the NAZI's.
>Severe snark alert<
Gee, if the Government is lying it's collective ass off about the killing of Osama Bin Dead-awhile, do you think it's in the realm of possibility that they lied about 9/11 too?
I mean it's not like the US Government (or the UK) has a documented history of lies and deception, right?

Osama and the Ghosts of September 11: Proof that Obama is Lying
"I saw a “crawl” on CNN stating that George W. Bush declined to appear at Ground Zero with President Obama for a planned extravaganza today. Even W has got enough sense to avoid that black hole. And today we see that apparently the plans for a PR extravaganza were quashed by someone telling the President to “Shut the f*** up” and keep it simple. Obama laid a wreath, shut his mouth and got the Hell out of Dodge.
The more Barack Obama beats the 9-11 drum, the more he is going to invite a bitch slap from people and even governments around the world who understand that the 9-11 story has been a lie since before the attacks occurred."
There plenty of other articles on this site. Instead of doing what I'm supposed to be doing today -- working, as usual -- I read three or four of these articles. My feeling is that this is not going to go away, that Team Obama and the Pentagon will continue to spin the American sheeple as much as they can, but they're going to have a hard time keeping it all together for the rest of the world.
Another one from the same site: Media Scrambles as Bin Laden Story Crumbles
http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=24669
Think the U.S. has overplayed their hand this time? All I know is that Bush's statements over the years and his latest actions do tell the story. Obama should have known when to leave something alone -- or at least get the story line straight before going public.
SAMALA: There's that key spiritual precept known as balance. The balance of powers has gone missing from the American policy-makers' circles. As to over-playing its hand, dang, isn't that the truth when it comes to giving torture the okay just because the U.S. presents itself as the unapologetic good guys? If Love means never having to say you're sorry (apologies to the author of "Love Story"), then war victors never have to apologize for using torture by merely calling it by another name.
The same over-play of the hand is due to a glaring lack of balance. There are no longer any interests to offset those of big business, or rancid, rabid corporate capitalism without conscience. Therefore, we see a variety of governors over-play their hands in lying to citizens about the need to roll back necessary programs, while they meanwhile lay more favorable tax breaks upon the rich.
Without balance, the dark powers abuse power absolutely, and it's showing in a variety of key arenas. Wall Street is overplaying its hands. What meaningful action was taken to insure that the crap and illegal shenanigans dressed up as sophisticated banking practices would not tank the economy again?
What measures are taken to make sure that big coal, or big nuclear power, or big oil don't further contaminate the only nest we have and share: our earthyly home?
The over-played hand might well be the THEME of this decade, and with its basis in abuse of The Balance Principle, it will kick ass in ways we are only seeing the faint beginnings of.
Your mention of “spiritual precepts” brought to mind thoughts on the Tibetan Book of the Dead, in which the extent of hell is described. I thought it totally appropriate to this article and the topic. I hope you agree Siouxrose. The Tibetan traditions tell us that:
The world of hell-beings, hungry ghosts and animals are worlds where suffering and ignorance are the most acute. There are 18 hells, some of them hot, some cold, others “crushing” or otherwise torturous. In the world of the jealous gods there is power but no peace. Even the world of gods - though pleasurable and long-lasting - will bring no ultimate satisfaction because it, too, ends in a long and lonely death.
The gods are said to live lives of fabulous luxury, revelling in every conceivable pleasure, without a thought for the spiritual dimension of life. All seems to go well until death draws near, and unexpected signs of decay appear. Then the gods’ wives and lovers no longer dare approach them, but throw flowers to them from a distance, with casual prayers that they be reborn again as gods. None of their memories of happiness or comfort can shelter them now from the suffering they face; they only make it more savage. So the dying gods are left to die alone in misery.
At least ObomberBush showed some chutzpah by inviting Bush to ground O. What ObomberBush wanted to do is shove Bush's face in shit, saying that I killed OBL and you,Bush, were President when OBL defeated the USG on the 1 day War of 911, the most humiliating military defeat in world history, still afraid to go to ground O for fear of it being targeted with you, Bush, there. Not to highlight the fact that Bush, coincidentally, was conveniently out of D.C. on 911 hiding behind and holding school children hostages as a shield from the terrorists, should thy have followed you.Curiously, you,Bush, were in the classroom shielded by the school children hostages before 9 A.M.
Re: to bogi666:
You really love that "hiding behind the children" crap don't you!....Is that all you've got?...
I've adopted what the MSM does, constant repeating the same message.
Here's the key info from the link provided by Samalabear. The claim that they IDed bin Laden through DNA matching cannot be true.
"I am a molecular biologist and I've built a lucrative career in human genetics. I have run one of the world's largest and most productive DNA genotyping facilities and now I am helping to build the global market for clinical whole human genome sequencing for the world's largest human genome sequencing facility. I have worked with the absolute best genome scientists from the military, academia, medicine, and industry from around the world. I know DNA. And, one thing I know about DNA is that you cannot, repeat CANNOT: take a tissue sample from a shot-in-the-noggin-dead-guy in a north central Pakistan special forces op, extract the DNA, prepare the DNA for assay, test the DNA, curate the raw DNA sequence data, assemble the reads or QC the genotype, compare the tested DNA to a reference, and make a positive identity determination…. all in 12 hours- let alone transport the tissue samples all the places they'd need to have gone in order to get this done.
Some might try to argue that ruggedized, field ready kits could test a DNA sample- which is true if one is attempting to determine the CLASS of a bacteria. It is not true if one is trying to determine the specific identity of an individual. Any way you slice it, the real work would require days, and I find it unlikely (although not impossible) that an aircraft carrier would have a laboratory outfitted for this kind of work… it is not the Starship Enterprise out there."
Re: Naturally:
I've been arguing that point for almost a friggin week now, and everyone I mention it to says: "give it up...don't be an ass!...he's dead and that's that....I just find it hard to believe any of it for the precise reasons that you have so eloquently exposed....Also, the dumping of the body was telltale evidence (to me) that whomever they murdered in Pakistan, may have possibly NOT been OBL...I actually think is has been dead for quite some time, the government knows he's dead, and this was Obama's publicity stunt.
evidence of a possibility...
hmmmm.
Thanks, Linh Dinh. And thanks, Common Dreams, for publishing an article that asks critical questions about this incident instead of assuming we've been given the facts.
the little woman at the back of the room - was she the cold shrimp?
Linh Dinh is the type of person whom Amy Goodman should have as her guest on Democracy Now!. But it is unlikely that she will as she appears for some inexplicable reason to have bought into the official narrative that Americans have been given concerning the mysterious death of an individual that the US government and the military wants us to believe is allegedly Osama bin Laden.
And to think that this is the same Amy Goodman who has justifiably chastised the corporate media for being stenographers instead of challenging those who are in power. Et tu, Amy?
Don't be too hard on Amy Goodman.
She just wants to stay on the (Corporate owned and dominated) air.
Now chant the mantra: War is Peace, Freedom is slavery, Greed is good, The Computer is your friend.
And another chant to add…no one lied to us about 9/11, no one lied to us about 9/11!
That chant can be heard loud and clear from the voices of "progressives" to Rush Limbaugh.
Amy Goodman knows who pays to keep her operation going. She wouldn't dare question 911 even if the evidence stared her in the face. It's too risky.
The power over life and death. We have all know this saying as an expression of absolute power. Many think the president of the US is the most powerful man in the world. The president orders the assignation of the leader of our enemies who are out to destroy us. An act of absolute power. Now we are told the the result is not going to weaken our enemy and make us safer, but will in fact set us up for more attacks so security must be increased. A very powerful act indeed. Another man with no power, not even enough power to run a fruit stand. Kills a man, himself, and set in motion events that overthrows government and people that were far more powerful that he could ever hope to be. The political system and leadership in this nation has devolved from one that was based on the power of human progress and morality to the lowest form of power. Violent action untempered by, moral concepts, or the rule of law, and in this case depraved indifference as to the effect of the action and what the results might be. In point of fact the government admits that in planning this action they determined the likely results of this assassination would put us at greater risk. Are we demonstrating how powerful we are by taking counter productive action that puts us at greater risk, and then admitting our ever increasing fear to the rest of the world? So two men killed, why was one event so powerful and the other weak and counter productive? One represented human progress and morality the other, shame and weakness. The United States of America has lost it's moral compass and the only power we have left is from the barrel of the gun.
I'm not one for conspiracies, but I was extremely skeptical of the story of OBL's death for several days; Dinh summarizes that skepticism beautifully.
However, hearing statements from the Pakistani interviews with OBLs' widows and children, I have to concede that most of the story is truth, and that a US hit squad did the dirty and destroyed the evidence. "Make no mistake" (as our clichéd President would say), an international crime has been committed, and the perpetrators are hiding in plain sight, laughing because of the lack of evidence.
I voiced an opinion. And you respond with abusive ad hominems. I suppose that says a lot about your character.
In the real world, conspiracies become harder to contain as they grow in size, both in depth and spatially. A conspiracy between the US and Pakistan will be extremely hard to contain, especially in Pakistan where the prize for whistle blowers can be counted in small dollar bills. Given the tension between the US and Pakistan, maintaining this little fairy tale will be near impossible. This is my proffered hypothesis. When evidence arise that places doubt on my hypothesis and another emerges, I will go with the most likely hypothesis. That is the Scientific Method.
WTF:
I agree with your hypothesis that a large conspiracy is difficult to contain.
I also understand nocountryforold...'s anger, but in his passion he's forgetful that we are on the same team (Just Change). Nice to see you keeping on high ground :)
I am not on "WTF's team" either!
I'm on no-one's team.
I am reminded of a program coming out YEARS after the fact that exposed on the ground television reporters that were supposed to have been in the Middle East during Gulf War 1 as an absolute fraud made up in a studio back lot in the USA.
This "live news report" showed a person looking up at the sky and reporting on an incoming scud missile fired from Iraq on the town. It showed him ducking, describing the sound and claiming he could smell the rocket fuel as it went over. There were palm trees in the foreground and he seemed to demonstrate real fear as he reported.
The announcer state side suggested he seek cover and not put his life at risk.
Years later this was rebroadcast from studio tape. They panned back. It was in filmed in a studio. The palm trees were potted plants. The reporter went to a chair in the studio and sat down after making his broadcast and asked others how authentic it was.
Remember all those Jubilant Iraqis being interviewed as the tore down that statue?
They manufacture this stuff. They make it up in the studio just as the CIA openly admitted it made fake Osama Bin laden tapes.
Re: GwNorth:
Golly....do they bring you all your meals to the rubber room you must live in in your little world?.....You are really screwed up.....
Some people just like to live in this fantasy world where the government is this almighty force capable of feeding, clothing and protecting one form cradle to grave. Together with that misconception also comes the illusion that the gov is capable of creating these vast decades spanning conspiracies. Truth is, the gov could not get a bunch of rifles to Iran to have hostages freed in Lebanon and then use the profits to subsidize some rebels in Central America. And that was a pretty straight forward deal.
On the Bin Laden deal, the gov can't even get it's own story straight about what happened during that raid. And some people attribute to the same government the capability to have planned and executed decade long conspiracy.
WTF--you can skip the crap about "Scientific Method" because you clearly have no idea of the very notion of "evidence." You are easily fooled and we've seen you duped before. Clap louder for the empire. They need you to applaud more forcefully. Talk more about science. Do you have a degree in something? Ha. Ha.
First let me say I do appreciate the author's [Linh Dinh] thoughtful deconstruction of the 'Official Killing off of the Bin Laden Legend' - for all of its inconsistencies & false-hoods.
BUT- How about this for a 'Conspiracy Theory' - This whole topic is a DISTRACTION [IE: Psy-Op] - which most have fallen for.
There are 2 things that this 'official' Killing off of the Bin Laden Legend immediately accomplished:
1: It boosted Obama's poll ratings as the hare-core FOXes celebrated in lynch-mob / tea-party fashion... [He'll soon be fund-raising for his re-election bid].
2: Consider the Timing: The week prior the Traumatic Trio of Repug NeoCon US Sins- Graham, Lieberman, & [Bomb bomb bomb] McCain call for Gadaffi to be taken out. And Donald Trump does a 'Birthers Gone Wild' move... Then on Sat April 30 the US / UK / France / NATO blatantly try to assassinate Gadaffi by smart bomb - missing him but KILLING his Son & his 3 SMALL GRAND-BABIES [all under the age of 6]. THE VERY NEXT DAY Obama proclaims- 'We got him' [that Muslim 'Phantom Menace' Bin Laden]. RESULT - Now nearly everyone's talking about this [dubious] Bin-Laden Kill [who probably died in Dec 2001- either KIA in the Tora Bora battle -or- most likely from chronic kidney disease]- including alternative news outlets like Common Dreams, as well as the effectiveness of water-boarding in the [phony] War on Terror, etc, etc, etc - While few are focused on the clearly illegal & immoral attempt to assassinate Gadaffi while MURDERING 3 INNOCENT BABIES in the PROCESS. This is in effect a very convenient distraction from last Sat's murderous response to yet another Gadaffi offer / appeal for a Cease-fire.
Few have even referred to Rep Dennis Kucinich's strong condemnation of this murderous action NOTE: [ @ http://kucinich.house.gov/News/DocumentPrint.aspx?DocumentID=238799 ]:
Obama Doctrine Allows for Regime Change by Assassination - NATO attack in Civilian Neighborhood Undermines U.N. Mandate
Washington, Apr 30 - Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), who has repeatedly challenged the Obama Administration’s policy on Libya, today made the following statement after a Libyan spokesman announced that a NATO missile attack on a residence in Tripoli killed Saif al-Arab, the youngest son of Colonel Gaddafi, and three of Gaddafi’s grandchildren. According to the spokesman, Gaddafi and his wife were in the home, but survived the attack. Saif al-Arab was reported to be a 29 year-old student and a civilian.
“NATO's leaders have blood on their hands. NATO's airstrike seems to have been intended to carry out an illegal policy of assassination. This is a deep stain which can never fully wash. This grave matter cannot be addressed with empty words. Words will not bring back dead children. Actions must be taken to stop more innocents from getting slaughtered.
“Today’s attack underscores that the Obama Doctrine of so-called humanitarian intervention appears to be a cover for regime change through assassination and murder,” said Kucinich.
ALL of this has gone down the memory hole due to this fake bin Laden Kill hype. VERY CONVENIENT- Because few, except Bin Laden's family / Al-Qaeda members / sympathizers, really give a damn about OBL being killed or HOW [even the most staunch ANTI-US Imperialist would say 'Good-Riddance']. But how do you 'spin' a clearly illegal [both for US & International Law & in clear violation of UN Res 1973] that KILLS 3 INNOCENT Babies... Well how about changing the subject & get everyone focused on & talking about something else IE: The alleged Bin Laden Kill- in a fashion that rivals a plot from the popular TV show '24'. This would explain why their story is so inconsistent & contradictory - they literally had just '24' hrs to 'spin' the news cycle away from Gaddaffi's 3 murdered grand-babies to 'The Bin Laden Kill Episode' . Well it seems to have worked.
Re: Nixakliel:
Finally!....Somone on this site who has his head screwed on straight....Thank you...
And Russ Baker's "Family of Secrets" tells how Poppy Bush likely killed JFK
J. Edgar Hoover called poppy Bush to tell him that JFK has been assassinated. Poppy was not in the government at that time.
Dig a little deeper. Start on page 85 Chapter 6, "The Hit".
'"Tis a tangled web they weave". Sir Walter Scott
Our government assassinated and disposed of the body of OBL because we could not stand the light of justice to shine on the war crimes that we have committed against Islam.
Obama's minister, Jerimiah Wright had it exactly right in the speech he gave days after 9-11. Jerimiah warned us '... Vengence is mine, saith the Lord'. His speech was picked apart by the media when Obama became presidential timber. If the country had only listened to Reverand Wright.
Instead, this last decade has been one of mindless vengence.
The Taliban offered OBL up to us before our bombardment of Afghanistan, but GW Bush told them " ... we don't negotiate with terrorists". GWB's handlers were looking forward to Iraq and didn't want a reasoned solution.
Bin Laden's assassination was plainly an act of vengence. This act exemplifies this last decade. It was a decade of vengence, not justice.
Thanks for the referrance to the Rev. He gave a great speech. Killing the Natives, slaves, endless wars..., he was right. I loved his speech. And you are right. It was picked apart. Obama should have read the whole speech and commented on it but insyead he ran away.
Re: justmiming:
Get your facts straight.....OBL was offered up to Bill Clinton, who considered taking him out...not capturing him....then decided to pass because he was sending weapons and money to OBL.....Put the blame where it belongs....
