Gulf of Mexico Spill Takes Toll on Health

Two years after the Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico, local residents and clean-up workers say they have developed serious illnesses.

Those affected blame a combination of the five million barrels of oil spilled by BP and cleaning chemicals. Though some have settled with the British company, there are still several pending class-action lawsuits by plaintiffs who say the spill caused their illness.

Al Jazeera's Dahr Jamail reports from Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
