Show AllMLK was assassinated on April 4.
2,500 marched in Seattle on the same day.
Very important point made in the video is that Sanford does not have a full time government. The argument that we need to look structurally at institutionalized racism is a valuable observation worth connecting with the articles on black male imprisonment and immigrant imprisonments.
A trigger is set in the system by the roots of the financial system, in the pressures on social balance that are commonly referred to just as 'inequality', as if a commons does not exist and there is nothing that can be done.
When the top 1% defrauds the citizenry out of trillions of tax payer dollars, the decades (really a very short time, not even a full generation) of such hard won basic civil rights STILL can be swept away leaving the detritus of the slavery, KKK mentality. That mentality is one of shortage, fear, and murderous demand not for salutary change, but rigid critically unsustainable status quo.
Either we're all free or none of us are free. We're seeing precisely the same dynamic playing out in environmental concerns - so no one can say we're not talking about financial institutions and structure, and peoples fears.
"DC Hoodies March Denounces Institutional Racism."
Does that mean that all of the racist city, County, State and Federal cops are out of a job now?
oh wouldn't that be GREAT
Wish I could have joined the brovs!
Sorry about the repetition!
The white elites do not give a damn about poor or rich people of color, absolutely none of them, including our current President, who was elected by a majority of African Americans with the hope of making their lives better-but it's actually worse now. I'm just wondering just how much more will the African American community take- from being put in chains during slavery, to lynching, to the old Jim Crow laws to the "new Jim Crow" massive incarceration numbers? How much more before .......????
Do not vote for Obama again as he is an elitist and one of "them". His campaign promises will not help you (and I am white and voted for him the first time) and will not again. Hand write in your candidate of choice like Rocky Anderson or Jill Stein. We must break the Republican/Democrat gridlock/buddy buddy system.
Obama doesn't give a rat's ass about skin color, because he doesn't consider himself to be black! Plain and simple. He's the greatest PR coup the Elite ever staged! He'll lie straight to your face, and then do the Elite's bidding with a smile, because he knows he's one of them.
