Boycott Israel.

That's the old ball game, if true. It sounds as if Israelis have subscribed to the fundentalist notion of Armageddon

I am so sick of this. Israel acts this way because it knows that even if the US doesn't directly support its war it will come to its aid if in danger. It is similar to the so called "moral hazard" in economics. You act more recklessly when you know someone will be there to bail you out in the end. If Israel attacked Iran and Iran punched it back in its reactionary mouth then the rabid right wing here would lose their ass, as would the media establishment and there would be extreme pressure to back Israel. Israel wouldn't attack other countries like it does if the US and Europe really did say to Israel, "you're on your own, no matter what happens". I don't hate Israelis, but I hate those in power. Same with my own country. I don't hate Americans, I do hate those in power though. If those in power though act recklessly and Israelis don't act to try and stop them they will also pay a price. Israel too is suffering their own neoliberal nightmare, with all the horrors that brings. I am sure a war with a country as powerful as Iran will do wonders for those struggling economically in Israel.

If Israel does do this they will be isolated in ways they never have been as well. If the US drags us into that mess to back up Israel we will pay a price. Cut the dog lose, let it get its mouth bloodied for its war mongering. Bullies learn to act more civil when those picked on fight back.

The only thing that normal people can do to counter-act this insane pro-war propaganda gusher by the corporatist media (including some supposedly 'liberal' alt sources) is to continue to communicate with the people and point out the absurd and non-factual nature of these out-right lies conning us toward war.

For example:

1. I'm not religious --- I'm a Unitarian Universalist --- but I still pray for the Iranian children (and all those throughout the world) with regard to the looming war-plans of this disguised and violent post-nation-state global 'Vichy Empire'.

2. Several recent MSM reports make it clear that both Congress and the White House are continuing to squeeze Iran with increasingly tough sanctions that bite hard in banking, oil, trade, and a number of other painful areas.

A White House official said, "We look forward to continuing to work with Congress to identify ways to increase pressure on the Iranian regime."

But here's an idea that will really put painful SANCTION pressure on the Iranians:

Let's just have the biggest, dirtiest, and nastiest natural gas drillers, who are experienced in 'fracking' go to Iran and 'frack' their whole country, poison their entire water supply, sicken their kids, and cause massive birth-defects ---- like 'frackers' are ALREADY DOING IN THE US

That will show the Iranians how tough the US Empire can really be.

Hell, the US Empire already does it to our own people!

The Iranians will quickly understand that if this is how tough the US Empire is on their own citizens, we better do whatever these insane Empirists say ---- at least until the US people rise up and make a regime change in a Second American Revolution "Against Empire".

3. Threat of 10,000 mile ICBM from Iran:

Now, who in their right mind could fail to believe the warning of Moshe Yaalon, ISRAEL'S vice prime minister and minister of strategic affairs, when he says that Iran is about to have a 6,000 to 10,000 mile range ICBM that is designed to carry their very very light weight (almost weightless) nuclear warheads to rain down on us by the tens of thousands everywhere in the US?

Yaalon is also rumored to have warned that Iran has developed a computer 100 times more powerful than IBM's 'Watson', which will read the minds of all Americans and transmit cell phone signals that will drive us all crazy.  And that Iran has also developed a competitor to NASCAR that will be run on the Moon and televised free to all southern US states just to irritate people to death.  And that Iran has developed a cosmic death ray that is so small it can be deployed in mosquitos to inject all Americans with a deadly strain of triple E (eastern equine envy).  And that Iran has also developed a massive fleet of Trident class nuclear 'boomer' subs that run on chipmunk pea and can navigate up our water supply pipes -- right into our foreclosed homes.

We'd have to be crazy not to take this seriously as an 'existential threat' and bomb the hell out of Iran tomorrow.  Yea, Moshe.   NOT!

Who in the hell really believes that Iran would bomb the US? Does ANYONE with a working brain really believe this? Maybe so, maybe many do. It just seems that those in power have lower and lower expectations as far as the general public's ability to smell bullshit. They assume that we are dumber than hell, hopefully we don't prove them correct once again. Are we that stupid though? Are we as dumb as the politicians we elect and the corporate whores they appoint?

I wish those reporting/writing on this would stop the nonsense and please just report that the US and Israel are again going to try and overthrow yet another country.

Shouldn't the story line not be about Iran but rather, why these two countries are getting away with this? Where's the outrage? Oh, that's right, I forgot. Our media is all for it. And I guess by their silence, the American people too.

panetta says israel will attack iran in the spring. but what does that MEAN?
on the 1 hand, if someone favors an attack, they dont announce it before hand. so, maybe panetta is against it. but, on the other hand, maybe he is talking to iran, trying to make them [or some lone angry iranian] react to the threat in some way in order to create an excuse for launching an attack on iran.

The only threat Iran is to Israel, is moral support and maybe some practical aid to Palestinians when Israel wants to attack them to steal even more of their land for the sick Israeli dream of a "Greater Israel". In a war in the Middle East Israel most likely hopes to profit by using it as a pretext to annex more land. Bastid Isrealis! We know where you live! Start one more war, and I'll personally pee on your embassy.

The Israeli racists - "gods chosen people" as they refer to in their Declaration of Independence - are the world's biggest scoundrels.

World rise up! - and smother this rampant militarism driven by the Israeli madmen and supported by US.

The UN SC-sanctions should be directed at Israel and its very real at least 200 a-bombs - not the hypothetical fiction of one Iranian maybe sometime in the future if they change their minds to make one.

This political world of ours is now so out of kilter with propaganda-lies replacing facts, that everyone's too confused to do anything sane but cry and forcefully demand "PEACE NOW". Not even Israel can survive a world opinion turned on them with boycotts and non-cooperation.

I'm glad the Israelis have built a fence around themselves. That will come in handy to lock them all up when the tide of power turns, after all Israeli credibility is spent and the need to contain them is revealed in the global attention as direly needed.

May all gods damn Israeli war-mongering. "Through deceit you shall make war", as the first motto of their so-called "intelligence" agency Mossad was. May their deceit finally catch up with them.

The Israelis bombed military sites in Syria some years ago and not much was reported. They can probably do the same with Iran...or at least they think they can. It's not likely that Iran has any nuclear anything nor that the Israelis will use nuclear warheads for their attack. It will just be Iran all over again. Obama will get re-elected since the U.S. will be engaged in another war and we don't change administrations during wars; private companies will make more money with contracts to maintain war operations; banks and financial institutions which lend money for these enterprises will benefit most of all. Marching, signing protests, etc. need to coordinated by serious boycotts of companies and institutions that support Israeli policy. On the other hand, these moves will just be another affirmation to israelis that they are once again being subjected to discrimination. This internal state of victimhood is a real problem.
