The Koch Brothers' Campaign to Kill Social Security
The rightwing industrialists have spent millions funding opinion-forming propaganda to undermine a vital public service
Documents and interviews unearthed in recent months by Brave New Foundation researchers illustrate a $28.4m Koch business that has manufactured 297 commentaries, 200 reports, 56 studies and six books distorting social security's effectiveness and purpose. Together, the publications reveal a vast cottage industry comprised of Koch brothers' spokespeople, front groups, thinktanks, academics and elected officials, which has built a self-sustaining echo chamber to transform fringe ideas into popular mainstream public policy arguments.
"The Koch brothers job is to do everything they can to dismember government in general," Senator Bernie Sanders says in this video. "If you can destroy social security, you will have gone a long way forward in that effort."

Show AllDid these citizens not pay in to Social Security all their working lives????
These brothers should become poor. Live on SS for a month. Deregulate and Privatize isn't that what the USA banks did? See where it got them!
They don't care about that. They don't care about what is fair or even legal. All they care about is a speeding up of the flow of wealth from the poor to the rich.
These dummies think they will live forever---or even if they die they can take their wealth (or tokens thereof) with them. They can't think except in terms of absurdly vast amounts of symbols of wealth.
They are not sane.
The Koch Brothers have been outed and there is no hiding the facts that the Right has no interest in anything positive about this Country. However, they try to hide behind the Constitution but will not work. Here is a couple of guys living in the United States and obviously are not playing in the same ball park.
The true enemies of our way of life always turns out to be home grown.
SSA is not and I say not going to shut it's doors and surely not because of folks like you.
Dubya once said "I don't understand how poor people think" (quoted in Russ Baker's Family of Secrets).
I confess to having a hard time understanding how billionaires think. I can understand playboys/girls who trot around the globe from one pleasure to the next, perhaps making the occasional charitable contribution in order to assuage their guilt and build positive PR. But billionaires who actually go out of their way to harm and kill the poor, the sick and the elderly are completely foreign to me.
I suppose there isn't much difference between the two groups, since being a billionaire necessarily entails denying massive resources to others, as well as encouraging the maintenance and expansion of that wealth.
Wealth/power addiction is clearly more dangerous than all of the other addictions combined. Some enterprising soul should start an "AA" type deal for the super-rich.
"I'm Dave Koch and I'm a parasite destroying all that is good in the world".
"Hi Dave!"
Most people don't get it. These guys DO believe in Global Warming and climate change and know that within a few years the earth will be a disaster area, with millions starving, sick and at war. By doing all they can to reduce the public benefits they reduce the pressure on their own personal lives and wealth to maximize their condition during the upcoming "troubles". Like the Waltons, they have their personal armored little hide-away all ready to go. It is very unlikely they will be dead before the crap hits the fan. This is NOT a benign assault on America's people, there is a very well thought out business plan involved, just like there was with 9-11, the first Iraq war, and all the current wars. Why do you think the biggest real push is for control of communications, with full and open electronic spying, cameras, denial of justice and human rights, etc? Its is so that when it all hits the fan, America is ready for total control by the government (which is really corporations like the Kock's.)
WHAT IS IT WITH THESE "KOCH" HEADS? How can any human being be so damn selfish, greedy and power hungry that they do everything they can to hurt anybody who is not in their financial class? Do they not understand that in a Democracy everyone is supposed to have an equal say, and be able to live without fear that these wealthy elite financial dictators will do whatever is in their power to denigrate them or snuff them out completely? What can we ever do to take back the American Dream that all people who are willing to work and to pay their fair share of taxes should be free of these thugs, banksters, dishonest and greedy politicians, etc
It seems to me that we are traveling fast down the road to serfdom.
This is war.
They want my money.
I want theirs.
Fair is fair.
Game on.
nothing is fair
they have a large part of the government on there side
you are on your own
hurry up and get a look at this

this will not last long some tea bager will be fixing soon to make the koch heads
look like heroes saving democracy
The Koch family of industrialists and businessmen is most notable for their control of Koch Industries, the second largest privately owned company in the United States and for their extremist right wing agenda. They are deeply involved in efforts to undermine the social security system, as they believe that the poor and the vulnerable are criminals for being poor and vulnerable. Of course the fact that their bigoted attempts would cause even more poverty and vulnerability IS something that they are fully aware of. Their fascist efforts are aimed at undermining the state as they believe that they should be the governing authority. This proves beyond all doubt that they are actually closet Nazi's with psychopathic tendencies. They really belong in the international court where they should be charged with crimes against humanity. The family business was started by Fred C. Koch, who developed a new method for refining heavy oil into gasoline.[1][2] Fred's four sons became involved in litigation against each other in the 1980s and 1990s.[3] According to the Koch Family Foundations and Philanthropy website, "the foundations and the individual giving of Koch family members" have financially supported organizations "fostering entrepreneurship, education, human services, at-risk youth, arts and culture, and medical research."
