Maude Barlow: Water on the Brain
Last week, while Esther Armah held down the fort here at GRITtv,
Laura was in Santa Fe meeting with activists. Of course, she took a
camera with her, and captured this interview with Maude Barlow, author
of Blue Covenant: The Global Water Crisis and the Coming Battle for the Right to Water and one time Senior Advisor on Water to the 63rd President of the United Nations General Assembly.
We've also got the trailer for the documentary film FLOW, which Barlow also appeared in.

Show AllAnother woman springing the Fluid of Creation. It's the misreporting media who are brainstem.
Maude Barlow is a great woman fighting a heroic battle on a literally life-or-death issue. It's people like these who bring their expertise, commitment, passion and the ability to network with activists across the globe, that have prevented me from giving up hope. The fight is not over. I wonder why this great Canadian woman is not nearly as popular as Naomi Klein. Barlow mentions the Vancouver Olympics, and how, despite the city itself having a ban on bottled water on its government buildings, is prevented from banning bottled water at the Olympics - simply because they have no power to regulate the IOC! That's unbelievable.
Thank goodness for people like Maude Barlow!!! Water is a human right and trading it is totally immoral. Water is life and it belongs to all living matter on this Earth.
