Afghanistan's Embattled Hospitals
Despite years of international military operations, hospitals in Afghanistan remain in a state of complete decay and are struggling to cope with a growing number of war victims.
Facilities are inadequate and, in some areas, there are no hospitals or clinics at all.
The situation is particularly bad in the southern part of the country where fighting is the heaviest.
Al Jazeera's David Chater reports.

Show AllBush's war becomes Obama's war which will become the next idiot in the white house's war. For every civilian our drones kill, it engenders ten young people to join the resistance to occupation. As bad a choice as supporting the Taliban, it sure poses a better option in many Afghans minds to being occupied by infidels and torturers. Just as LBJ and Tricky Dick were warned that Nam was an impossible slog in the mud that could not be won, it is virtually inconceivable that Mr. Obomba has not been warned of the same. A learned man like him must of read accounts of the Brits getting their butts eviscerated in the 1800's and the Soviets getting creamed in the twentieth century. Now our empire will implode as we neglect urban america to fight against people and a culture that we don't understand nor care to understand. In the words of the musician/activist Michael Franti--"you can bomb the world to pieces but you can't bomb it into peace."
Shame, shame, shame......
