I visit the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument every year since 1998. In 2001 I began to see 120 railroad cars loaded with bright shinning coal go by my motel room five times a day. Today that same loaded train goes by 10 times a day. I call that train Dick Cheney's train. This shit began when Dick Cheney got the BLM to give John Anshcuttz a permit to mine the coal coming out Decker,Mt. That train goes by 20 times a day. The full of coal went by my room and the cars going back to the mine are empty. That's 20 times a day. What concerns me about this are the Crow People having to listen to this fuck train going by so much and what that sound is doing to the Crow children in the long run. The Burlington Northern RR runs through the entire Crow Reservation and doesn't give a dime to the Crow People.

There is talk of wind energy in North Dakota, very strong winds there and a renewable source of energy. The United States does not uphold thier own treaties, even the supreme court has acknowledged this.

The quotes on the DN clip focus on fossil fuels but there is also a sign in the indigenous peoples' march that declares "No Nuclear", calling attention to the devastation of indigenous peoples by uranium mining, radioactive mine tailings, and the entire process of producing nuclear energy.
Nukes are NOT any answer, not for indigenous peoples, not for all peoples, not for the Earth.
Praise to these brave marchers for delivering their statement at this critical moment, and praise to DN for airing this report, which will be simply and purely ignored in the corporate media.

A lot of good it will do them to appeal to Obama. That'll be like appealing to Bernie Madoff to return the money he stole.

It is good for the Indigenous Peoples to bring this message to Copenhagen. It is curative both for the spirit and the land. The way to bring the corporate bully to his knees is to not use his products or to use as little as possible. Without sacrifice nothing will change.
