Hopenhagen? No, Thanks: Naomi Klein on COP15
Naomi Klein, author, activist, and columnist for The Nation, tells The UpTake's Jacob Wheeler what she thinks of Obama's language of hope permeating the United Nations climate change conference in Copenhagen. In short: The action and funds it would take to make a real difference are not even on the table.
Klein does find hope, however, in the new alliances forming around the environment. Organizations previously focused on international trade and poverty are starting to work on climate change.

People all over need to quit being in awe of the US - the very nation that is plunging us into this environmental and financial mess. There are enough educated and intelligent people from other nations, so why always this "sit back and see what the US is going to do" attitude? If the US wants to stay behind...go ahead, let them but don't facilitate their holding back an entire planet. Sadly, everything always revolves around making profits. Once industry realizes that yes, green industry is profitable, it will come on board and perhaps even claim, that it is they who invented "go green".

she would stay on point that 9/11 was the shock and awe
taking us into the MI Complex states of War; and the Big Bailouts were the shock and awe to our Economy that destroyed our underlying financial fabric.
****Yesterday we hear Obama's, General MacChrystal proclaim his belief in the figment of a cave dwelling boogieman and 19 airline pilot school flunkouts from Afghan pulled off the technical genius that was 9/11 !
****We thinking citizens are supposed to swallow that tripe while they go on the religious crusade to slay the fantasy dragon of Tora Bora !!!!

Revive your memory, gget the DVD==The Bravest Heart, or whatever==the story of the murder of Danny Pearl, co starring Angelina Jolie==you remember the scene !!!!!!!!
