Don't worry about it. It happens to everybody; only a few complain about it.
Those doctors who are demonstrating out on the street and locked out of the white house are the doctors I'd like to go to for health care! Shame on Obama for not letting them in.
No surprise here. The insurance and drug industries contributed more to Obama's campaign than doctors and nurses did.
The DR.'s who went in have no credability if for nothing else but by their actions.Tony
It would be nice to have a list of names so they can be boycotted. FOIA request?
When will Obama fail to disappoint?
If the Md's want single payer so badly, they should boycott the insurance companies and provide free healthcare until we get single payer
"The only means of strengthening one's intellect is to make up one's mind about nothing, to let the mind be a thoroughfare for all thoughts." - John Keats
But really the insurance companies pay them, not the other way around. This kind of boycott would only increase profits for the insurance companies. Think about it.
It wouldn't increase profits for insurance cies if these MD's provide free health care for only the poor, not non-paying people who can afford to pay. After all, the poor can't afford insurance cies' health insurance plans.
But MD's providing free health care still need income. They need to eat and feed their families, house and clothe them, use transportation that has costs, etcetera.
There surely cannot possibly be truly free health care in countries with all of these costs for living, and clinic space and equipment, etcetera, also has costs. The poor could have what can seem, to them, to be free health care, but it's not really free; it'd be single-payer, paid by the government with tax dollars.
MD's also need to eat, pay for housing, as well as transportation, and health care costs for looking after their own health and their family members. They couldn't do free doctoring for long, so the poor wouldn't benefit for long, either.
It's usually a good idea to think (and look) a "little" further than only to the end of one's nose, and not thinking (or looking) that far ahead is only worse. If we do that, then we're surely going to have a strange, say, perception of the world.
Medicare for all? As in the same Medicare that all the Baby Boomers have worked their life for and now depend on? Is our Corporate Executive-in-Chief going to eliminate Medicare along with the retirees that depend on it? When's election day?
Why, are you impatient to vote for him; perhaps for a second time, if you voted for him last year? You sound excited, so I figured that maybe you're looking forward to voting for him so that he can continue the wipe-out of Americans who aren't rich.
Medicare For All, also known as single-payer health insurance, is favored by a majority of Americans and doctors.
How can we convince our Members of Congress to enact what the people want?
Let them know that unless they support Medicare For All, you won't support them.
Take the Medicare For All Voter Pledge today:

"Medicare For All"-well said. Americans should adorn their vehicles with that slogan along with this one-Healthcare Not Warfare.
Correction: not "single-payer health INSURANCE, it's single-payer health CARE.
Single-payer health care is direct pay to health providers -- it cuts the middle-man insurance robbers out. You probably already know that. I get worried when I see people, even mistakenly, conflate the two.
Thanks!
Obama is not going to entertain meetings with anyone not in agreement with his agenda.
Clearly, that is to continue his giving to the rich (ie. banks, insurance companies) and stealing from the poor.
I hate to say it, but I knew who he was by following his votes while in Congress.
I did not vote for him.
obama needs spinal surgery- he needs a spinal implant!
He evidently needs more than that.
Obama should be reminded that he was elected by voters in a democracy that has a Constitution which states that the presidency, Congress, etc. have to be accountable to The People and that if he, the VP, etcetera, the Congress, Senate, employees of the Justice Dept, and on and on ... all have government-paid-for health care at taxpayers' expense, then the taxpayers and really all citizens have an equal right to have single-payer health care through their, not the politicians', but The People's government. So he should be additionally reminded that if he, Congress, etcetera, disagree, then they have to lose their government-provided health care coverage or plans, TOO!
That's not really a threat to them, since they can afford plenty of health insurance from insurance cies. But if The People aren't given the right to single-payer health care through the government, their government, then the politicians, etcetera, can't ethically continue to receive this and plenty of other benefits from their government jobs.
They Constitutionally are not to be dictators, ..., but administrators, real leaders, yet also servants to The People, there to serve The People, and must be accountable to The People. But the U.S. doesn't have a constitutional government, a real democracy, and so on, which is a very serious problem.
Since Obama supposedly graduated in law and supposedly is a constitutional law expert, then he must certainly know that he's a criminal, rogue, ... President, and that his years as a senator was pretty much the same. But he knows he works for rich elites, that the law forces and military, ... protect him and this highly rogue and treasonous government.
dumddown old fart
The politicians should represent "The People" who vote for them. The people vote once every two years. Lobbyists are in the politican's faces 24/7/365. The people will forget the health care flap by November 2010.
It is pathetic that 75 million voters cannot raise sufficient cash to compete with health insurance company bribes to legislators. 1$ from each voter might inspire Bachus and his co conspiritors to at least consider single payer. $10 from each voter would supply golden parachutes to 60 senators who would vote for single payer.
So, this guy Obama, exactly who is he again? ChocoBush? Bush Noir? President Blackbush?
Please forgive my redundancy, but WHAT THE FUCK IS REALLY WRONG WITH THIS 'COUNTRY'?
When, oh when, are the people, EN MASSE - a quaint term brought to you by the same people whose 'french fries' were retardedly re-named 'freedom fries' (who in Christ's name was able to keep from throwing up in his/her mouth at THAT??) by Puppet Bush's gang of mentally ill zombies - going to understand that this place is bloody RIGGED sixteen ways from Sunday, and do something about it? The goddamn toilet paper called the constitution (small 'c' these days)states some incessantly misinterpreted stuff about bearing arms against your oppressor. THIS IS YOUR 'GOVERNMENT', folks, not the fucking Afghans or the Iraqis or the Iranians or anyone else in the also-incessant enemy-nomination process which, tragically, passes for a big part of the identity and definition of this excuse for a country.
The idea is to protect against internal tyranny. The internal tyranny gig is in full swing, has been for decades, and likely since day one of this laughably-treasured 'republic'.
Please don't mistake - there's much I love about America, and much of the concept of it may be worth retaining. But it is now long past due for the people, well, okay, the intelligent, decent ones at any rate, and not these fucking hillbilly pseudo-Christian mouth-breathers and knuckle-draggers who showed up at the town-hall meetings, to SOMEHOW mount real goddamn resistance to the fascist agenda, which, though I'm saddened to have to acknowledge it, President Blackbush now convinces us he is thoroughly a part of.
Listen, if this guy were the real deal, he would have declared back before inauguration day that there wasn't going to be some huge multi-million dollar party for his inauguration, but rather that the money would be spread out among the starving millions of this goddamn rogue, banana republic. Used to offset some LITTLE BIT of the nastiness that is the real American dream - such as the United Nations-released fact that just a year or two ago, the U.S. had the world's second-worst infant mortality rate next tto Latvia. Fucking LATVIA?????
How can this new clown not be visibly ashamed of this? Well, easily. HE'S WORKING FOR THE ENEMY. To paraphrase that sick fuck Bush, IF OBAMA'S NOT WITH US, HE'S AGAINST US.
Or am I just being negative? Was that not a nice thing to say? Shucks, I'm sorry. I'll have myself sent to goddamn Gitmo at Barack's earliest convenience.
Listen - those rabid, screaming, illiterate hillbilly fuck-ups I mentioned? You know - the ones whose ranks included many bought or rented for those town-hall occasions by the Republican party, according to recent information secured by 'Rolling Stone'? That mob was able to get access to those town-hall meetings - some of them even ARMED, for Christ's sake, but a polite and articulate number of doctors for single-payer/universal health care are refused admittance to Barack's little circle-jerk congratulating each other on Mr Blackbush's fabulous new plan?
Sweet Jumping Jesus, and people accuse Michael Moore of some bias, or fictionalizing? Of staging terribly slanted scenes of outright fabrication to support the Hideous, Un-American Liberal Agenda? It is way WORSE than Moore paints it, he's just documenting the more stomachable bits of it.
Barry: when are you going to tell us how you really feel?? :)
Decent rant.
As one of the doctors in the video says, most of the health insurance reform bills currently in Congress are being written by the private health insurance industry and other corporations. This is typical of many members of Congress--in addition to being outrageously corrupt, many aren't very bright, and are usually lazy (don't let their ability to talk at length fool you into thinking they're not), and don't understand the issues they deliberate, and are often unable to come up with workable ideas of their own, so they let industry tell them what to put into many of the bills they "work" on. All of this explains why it's often so confusing to listen to them talk about the bills they're working on--they can't explain something they don't really understand, and didn't write themselves. What counts for them, is they still pick up a paycheck, and get bribes and other perks to boot.
