Given this morning's news of the CIA's mock executions during interrogations, I can only wonder if growing numbers of citizens like myself must be feeling increasing guilty, verging on nausea, at dutifully sending off our tax money annually to pay for this litany of barbaric crimes. Can we feel somewhat exculpated by the fact that we are taxed without representation? When do we start to get publicly angry?
