How many times, in how many places, do we need to see the rise of fanaticism? Whether on the right, or on the left, fanaticism is the enemy of freedom and peace.
When we start to feel smug about our own side and our own beliefs and are absolutely sure that we are right, we run the risk of tapping into fanaticism. Demagogues are just lying in wait for us.
