Burning Conscience: Israeli Soldiers Speak Out
A searing interview with Avichai Sharon and Noam Chayut, both
veterans of the Israeli Defense Forces and members of Breaking the
Silence. Sharon and Chayut served during the second intifada, an
on-going bloodbath that has claimed the lives of over three thousand
Palestinians and nine-hundred-fifty Israelis. After thorough
introspection, these young men have chosen to speak out about their
experiences as self-described "brutal occupiers of a disputed land."

Show AllWhen one of the young men said,"In one of the interviews, one soldier said that within ten minutes of the attacks of 9/11, we were attacking in Palestine. When asked, why? He responded because big brother is watching."
On the shore of the Hudson River, on the New Jersey side, several people were seen celebrating as the buildings were going down on 9/11. They were arrested and found to be members of Mossad. They were allegedly deported after being interviewd by the FBI.....No answers given as to why they were celebrating!
These young men talked about "No Rules of Engagement" and "No Rules being written down". I could not help but think of Dick Cheney and his ability to give oral orders only. "We will immunize our soldiers from murder!"
It has been U.S. policy to LIE to the American People. So it is in Israel too and they follow the U.S. lead.
I commend the two young men and their group "Breaking The Silence". Too bad the American Mass Media gave no attention to "Iraq Veterans Against The War." They too were trying to break the silence.
The article doesn't give more details on the casualty statistics than the nominal figures of 3,000 and 950 and from what I've read, the 3,000+ Palestinians were mostly civilians, while the majority of the 950+ Israelis were mostly IDF and/or IOF.
I'm not sure of precisely when the video was filmed, but this 29:31 minute version by AlternateFocus was posted at Youtube by AF Oct. 7th, 2006, so the video's nearly, or over, three years old. Nonetheless, the video is excellent, remains important, and Breaking the Silence continues.
The same video in three parts or clips, for people who prefer shorter clips:

When one of the young men said,"In one of the interviews, one soldier said that within ten minutes of the attacks of 9/11, we were attacking in Palestine. When asked, why? He responded because big brother is watching.""
I WONDER if that "big brother" is to mean the Israeli leadership or the U.S. leadership, and I guess it could potentially be meant as a combination of both. Actually, it has to mean the latter if what the these soldiers meant, in their own minds, was the U.S. leadership, for the latter has to work with or through the Israeli leadership. Yet it'd mean a combination of both if the soldiers had meant the Israeli leadership, for it can't do to Palestine what Israel has been doing for over 60 years now without the full backing of the U.S. leadership.
Still, I wonder what the two soldiers specifically had in mind for meaning. They could mean the Israeli leadership, government, state forces, just like Brits speak of their own government, state forces, police state, ... when speaking of "big brother watching", and the same applies when Americans (of the USA) speak of their "big brother watching".
Could they have instead meant the U.S. government though? I had not heard or read of anyone referring to the Israeli government as "big brother", like Brits and Americans (of the USA) have been long enough doing with regards to their governments.
It's not critical, not particularly important, only being a point of curiosity. But I'm curious.
Actually, given they were referring to the Sep. 11th, 2001, attacks, the "big brother" would've been the U.S., but as herbert r. c. points out or reminds, a group of Israelis was caught on U.S. news footage as the attacks were (or one of the attacks was) happening and right across the Hudson from the WTC towers. They were indeed and clearly celebrating and they were doing this while viewing the planes hit the towers (at least one anyway). The footage was from a U.S. msm news media, ABC, CBS, Fox, one of them; but why the crew was "at the right place at the right time" is ... it causes me to wonder. And it's only after the FBI tracked these celebrators down that it was learned that they were of the Israeli Mossad, or else Israelis. I forget if I had read Israeli Mossad, or only Israelis.
It was considerably later that it was reported that other Israelis were later caught enrolled in some U.S. colleges or universities and that it was learned that they weren't real students, but spies. (True, or not?)
That was not necessarily related to the 9-11 attacks, but the first group celebrating across from the towers were clearly celebrating the attacks on the towers and it certainly seemed like they surely must've had foreknowledge of these attacks. If they did and they were of the Mossad, then the Israeli government had foreknowledge; and given its majorly tight relationship with the U.S. leadership, it also had foreknowledge.
There's apparently plenty of proof that the U.S. government had foreknowledge; including from European intelligence services, from what I think to correctly recall. If indeed true, then the only little detail that perhaps still hasn't been absolutely ascertained is whether or not they had foreknowledge that the attacks were going to happen the morning of Sep. 11th, 2001. Yet there's evidence that seems to indicate that such foreknowledge is something they must've had. It's perhaps not an absolute certainty, but they seem to have definitely had foreknowledge that attacks, including with the use of commerical airliners, hijacked, were being planned.
It's important for political leaders to support the following new group, to minimally, but strongly support re-opening the 9-11 inquiry and with a truly [independent] group to conduct the inquiry. Whether 'inside job' is the actual truth, or not, a proper inquiry should be able to determine this and any other criminal involvement of the Bush-Cheney admin.

The video playlist linked in the following post seems to be worth viewing to at least know what some of the many questions are.

The excellent Breaking the Silence video of two IDF soldiers giving their accounts and one relating explosives work by IDF to the 9-11 attacks, to occur 10 minutes after the latter, and to satisfy "big brother", is a very interesting statement about a very peculiar act.

YES, and I found the crisis in Tibet during March of last year to have awfully coincidental timing with the several days of IVAW testimonies in what they called 'Winter Soldiers'. It was very, very suspect how the U.S. "news" media majorly published about the crisis in Tibet while staying [silent] about 'Winter Soldiers', so suspect that there's cause for believing the crisis in Tibet may have actually been staged; including by the CIA and/or NED of the U.S. State Dept as orchestrators. I suppose there's no way to be absolutely certain about that, but it was awfully suspect nevertheless.
