There is too much enthusiasm out there. There's no such thing as a free revolution. Every so called revolutions from the past 25 years has been controlled in all details. They just want you to think that the revolutions are started and conducted by popular leaders, but there's no such thing. All revolution leaders are supported by those in control and the end of every revolution will be the one expected by those people. Look to Iraq, Yugoslavia, Eastern Europe, all ended in some dumb democracies and sold pieces by pieces to the Western Democracies, bijuterii argint.

Here is something for ya. I highly recommend to check this (pdf - downloadable) book by Gene Sharp. As I heard it was this book that paved the way for the peaceful attempts to remove oppressive regimes from Tunisia to Yemen. It becomes utterly apparent that we need to take a closer look at this. Excerpt published under the 'Fair Use Act'.
"In contemplating how to achieve liberation from oppression no one should assume that an easy way to do this exists. To the contrary, planning and implementation of effective action to lift oppression is always extremely difficult. Furthermore, it is most unlikely that liberation can be achieved without casualties. It should be remembered that any attempt by whatever means to remove a system of oppression may be met with severe repression."
I do believe that the inevitable is happening. The power of the military-industrial (excuse me; the CORPORATE-industrial) complex is starting to break down. The great majority of everyday people is challenging the true evil empire that has ruled for so long, now. We are witnessing only the tip of this wonderous revolution. Very soon now, the military-corporate complex will start killing their own people to retain power. The only reason they haven't done so yet is that the people have bought their bull-shit lies that they are the God-installed leaders of us all. They are getting desparate. Their cruelty and inhumanity knows no bounds. Be prepared for a wave of violence from these human cancers the world has never seen before. There will be suffering for sure. I truly believe, however, that the Universe seeks Justice and ultimately, Justice will prevail. The exploiters of Earth's resources and people will be banished and the age of peace and real prosperity will reign for a very long time.

What is happening in the Arab world is part of a worldwide revolution of consciousness - the old paradigms of hierarchy, authoritarianism, corporatism, oligarchy, parasitic capitalism, materialism, etc. are breaking down .
America , being part of the world, will also undergo turmoil, chaos, revolt against the system.
The Wisconsin and Arab protests are intricately connected at a deep level. On the surface they appear isolated from each other, but they are both part of a morphogenetic field http://www.experiencefestival.com/morphogenetic_fields - a phrase coined by Rupert Sheldrake -sweeping across the world.
These upheavals will increase and spread worldwide and they are representative of a kind of awakening and a tectonic shift in human consciousness.
American philosopher Ken Wilber outlined how these memes of collective consciousness evolve in his 'Integral Politics" theory.
The monetary system, which is a house of cards designed to protect the few powerful corporate entities and the international banking system, will collapse and America will experience the same kind of unrest, riots, and upheaval as we are seeing around the world.
The thieves, the capitalists, the corrupt parasites have reached the end of the line . Their time is up. They will use deadly force to retain power but, in the end, their time is simply up because the old paradigms are fast becoming obsolete.
These events will move rapidly and probably accelerate over the next two years.

The simple fact is that you cannot win a revolution by sitting in the square. They need to occupy the Capital and the residence of Mubarak, only then will the revolution have a chance of surviving. Suleiman should be jailed as quickly as possible as a torturer and murderer. No major changes ever occur without deaths and occupation of critical property. "White House and Egypt Discuss Plan for Mubarak’s Exit"
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/04/world/middleeast/04diplomacy.html
WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is discussing with Egyptian officials a proposal for President Hosni Mubarak to resign immediately and turn over power to a transitional government headed by Vice President Omar Suleiman with the support of the Egyptian military, administration officials and Arab diplomats said Thursday.
[…]
They cautioned that the outcome depended on several factors, not least Egypt’s own constitutional protocols and the mood of the protesters on the streets of Cairo and other Egyptian cities.

God forbid the Egyptians accept this man, even temporarialy, as a leader! He should be in prison!

My daughter is married to an Egyptian and they are on the ground in Cairo now, delivering medical supplies to the pro-democracy people at Tahrir Square.
I was asked to send this message to US citizens:
"When calling for support from the U.S, Egyptians do NOT want outside interference in choosing a leader, or ousting Mubarak. It's not the U.S's role or responsibility. Democracy is rule by the people, and this revolution must come from the people. The U.S cannot demand that Mubarak step down. Who are they to determine the fate of Egypt? They can, however, decide to STOP SENDING AID TO EGYPT AND THE EGYPTIAN MILITARY, money that is not seen by the people. The U.S can pull away from Egypt. It actually hurts our cause when it is reported that the U.S is pressuring Mubarak to step down. People are very suspicious of the U.S and any of their intervening tendencies."
So if you want to help the Egyptians people, one thing to do right now is call the White House comment line at 202-456-1414 and tell Obama to STOP SENDING AID TO MUBARAK'S REGIME. (And yes we know that Egypt is a keystone to the Empire's control of the ME, and that the investment in the regime in Egypt is critical to US/Israel "interests". Call anyway to let Obama know that we know! Spread the word and thank you!!

Hello!
Please tell your daughter for me that she and her husband are to be lauded in the spirit of Rachel Corrie. Also, I just got off the phone with the white house line and my input was as follows:
"Hello, (voice said whitehouse), I am calling to tell Obama to stop sending aid to the Mubarak regime. We already support one terrorist nation in Israel and by continuing support for Mubarak, you're only duplicating that mistake". I also plan on forwarding the number to some friends. Again, you should be very proud of your son-in-law and your daughter. I hope to see the courage now apparent in the Egyption people here in the U.S. of Israel, (one can only hope...).

Yeah, we have a goverment by the people, and for the people, unfortunatley it has been highjacked by some of the people. How can we preach anything to any country, when we torture, and kill innocents all the time. We let our own neighbors die if they get sick. We would rather buy bullets then medicine. We have stood by getting fat, while a select group of Politicians deregulated our country right out from under us, meanwhile linning thier pockets with Billions and Billions of dollars, that belongs to us !
We have no clue what Freedom is , try and go against the goverment, and see just how Free we really are ! We told them, no Bailouts...they did it anyway, we told them ,Public Option, they took it out, we told them no War, they increased the troops ! We have no control over our country. They have taken the Internet, and I can do anything I want today on my computer but when I tried several times to sign a Petition for the Eygyptions my "Internet Explorer " stopped working, everytime...when I left that sight and did anything else like come on here, I have had no interuptions. Doesn't matter what the final form is ? That is not a very wise statement. It matters very much what comes out of this. I am thrilled too, that this country is taking control, I just hope the wrong people don't step in, and make thier lives even worse.
I wonder when Americans will get the nerve to really take back our country, stop the Leaders we have from stealing all our money, and taking away America from 85% of the people. We have so many issues that are very wrong here, and stupid people that believe the lies of the snakes that take away the Freedoms we have fought for over hundreds of years. Ignorance and the lack of education, has taken our country down ,except for the chosen few.

Thank goodness for Aljazeera and their coverage of the unfolding events.
Egyptians--rise!

VP Suleiman's description of the protesters is a real slap in the face. The government seems totally ignorant of what is going on. Shame on them. Shame shame!!
The U.S. is not ignorant of Suleiman. They KNOW he is a torturer, they have it on written record. They know he is a criminal under international standards, a person similar to the Nazi, Joseph Mengele. They know and they don't care. God forbid the Egyptians accept this man, even temporarialy, as a leader! He should be in prison!
Let us hope Suleiman will not be Mubarak's replacement--as he is just another sock puppet of the US and Iraeli governments.
Paschn
They can turn our Internet and phones off anytime they want ,just like they did in Eygypt !
"Can't we all just get along" ...under oppression and corruption. No, we can't.
SHAME ON THE GOVERNMENT!!! This is a last ditch move on the presidents part!!!
The demonstrators calling for the removal of Mubarak have proven their peaceful intent. The arrival of the pro-Mubarak violence only strengthens their case.
This is when the army reveals its orientation.
Watching the re-Birth of a Nation is really exciting.
It matters not what the final form is, only that is is different.
It really does matter who's in charge !
If it's successful, maybe we can get some ideas of our own???
shots being fired in Alexandria crowds fighting with supporters of president.
I do feel for the President, but too many lies and promises not fulfilled over the years with complete neglect of the people pay a high price. And so he must go.
I hope the protesters see that they need someone or a group that can speak for them to the government. So that new elections can come about and new laws can be made with the people in mind.
I am hoping for a peaceful march tomorrow and no storming of the palace. Also no interference with the Presidents supporters, who are also marching. Keep calm and good luck to the protesters.
These are the "president's supporters" -- these are hired thugs and security
forces personnel out of uniform -- many thugs paid $17 a day to do violence for
Mubarak -- camels and horses hired from the Pyramid tourist area by an MP!

Yes we see how he (Bush) brought democracy to Iraq. It turned out well John. Or were you being funny?
