Letter From a Young AmericanI am 23 years old, and in my conscious lifetime I have not seen an American President. I'm aware that while I have been alive, there have been people occupying the Oval Office and living in the White House. I'm aware that while I have been alive, there have been presidential elections, and I've even voted in a few of them. I've watched the debates and the stump speeches that accompanied those elections. I was in the crowd on the Mall in Washington D.C. on that cold January of 2001 when George Bush was inaugurated. So let me reiterate. | |
