Susan Bianchi-Sand, executive director of the National Committee
on Pay
Equity (NCPE), is available today (March 29) to discuss the wage gap and
wage discrimination in America.
The National Committee on Pay Equity is the national non-profit
coalition
of labor, women's and civil rights organizations and individuals working to
eliminate sex- and race-based wage discrimination and achieve pay equity. It
serves as a national clearinghouse on pay equity information and coordinates
the annual national observance of Equal Pay Day. This year Equal Pay Day
will be observed on April 8, 1999.
Bianchi-Sand has served as NCPE's executive director for over
five years.
In addition, she serves as the chair of the National Council of Women's
Organizations, the Washington, D.C., coalition of over 110 women's
organizations representing 6 million women.
