The Interfaith Alliance Foundation Gathers National Religious Leaders to Discuss Religion, Politics, Morality
WASHINGTON - September 14 - As the nation focuses on the Independent Counsel's report and potential impeachment hearings, national religious leaders from Christianity, Judaism, Islam and others to address the issue of faith and politics in public life. These leaders will convene to reflect on the appropriate role of America's diverse religious traditions in electoral and issue advocacy as morality and responsibility becoming increasingly significant themes in the upcoming fall elections.

On the eve of the Christian Coalition's Road To Victory '98 conference, this religious roundtable discussion will provide a contrast between the coalition's agenda and the actual policy and social action positions of the major religious denominations in the United States.

The program will begin with brief opening statements followed by a discussion moderated by Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy, Executive Director of The Interfaith Alliance Foundation. The panelists will then receive questions from three members of the media, including Hanna Rosin of The Washington Post. The last thirty minutes of the program will be open for discussion and questions from journalists and members of the media.
