| Planned Parenthood Action Fund And Joan Osburn Team Up Tp Get Out The Vote; Grammy-Nominated Singer/Songwriter Records Radio Ads To Air In Key Markets | ||||
| NEW YORK - October
29 - Gloria Feldt, president of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF), announced today
that acclaimed singer/songwriter Joan Osborne has recorded a 30-second radio advertisement
on behalf of PPAF encouraging women to vote on November 3rd. We are delighted that
Joan Osborne is working with us on this project, said Feldt. Joans radio
ad will reach hundreds of thousands of her fans with the message that they have to vote to
protect their futures. Joan, a member of the Planned Parenthood Board of Advocates, has a
strong commitment to the mission of Planned Parenthood. Her enthusiastic support of our
programs is extremely important in energizing young women to become more involved in
protecting their reproductive health. The 30-second spot reads as follows: This is Joan Osborne with a special message from the Planned Parenthood Action Fund. Twenty minutes. What can you do in 20 minutes? Believe it or not, with 20 minutes, you can shape your future. You can even decide wholl represent you in Congress. And you can do it all in the simple act of voting. This fall, youve heard a lot of reasons not to vote. In fact, some people are banking on it. Were offering one simple reason to vote anyway. Its our future. This is our chance to shape it. And if we dont vote, who will? Please vote November 3rd. The ads will run between October 30th and November 3rd in four key markets, Seattle (KLSY, KNDD, and KBKS), Denver (KIMN, KALC, KBCO, KYCL), Metro Washington, D.C. (WHFS, WWDC, and WRQX), and Milwaukee (WKTI, WMYX, and WPNT), for a total of 248 air plays. ### |
