Unions to File Complaint Against Canada for Labor Violations Under NAFTA Agreement
 
WASHINGTON - November 30 -

News Advisory:

Leaders of major U.S., Mexican and Canadian unions will announce on Wednesday, Dec. 2, the filing of a formal complaint against the government of Canada for violating the North American Agreement on Labor Cooperation, a side agreement to the NAFTA accord, by prohibiting rural mail carriers in that country from engaging in collective bargaining.

The formal complaint will be released at a news conference at the National Press Club at 9:30 a.m. EST. It will be filed with the U.S.Labor Department's National Administrative Office later Wednesday.
