“Reports that the  military war court at Guantanamo Bay is gearing up to hear  cases of  a suspect charged with 9/11 related crimes remind us that we remain inalterably opposed to the use of these inadequate and illegitimate tribunals rather than civilian trials in federal courts that have resulted in hundreds of success prosecutions.

We  will continue to urge President Obama to remain true to our historic commitment to justice and the rule of law, the basic values that had made our country a great example for the rest of the world."
