Free Press Applauds FCC Goal of 100 Million Households with Super-Fast Broadband

WASHINGTON - February 16 - FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski spoke today about some of the likely recommendations in the National Broadband Plan. Among them is a goal of 100 million households at speeds of 100 Megabits per second.

Ben Scott, policy director of Free Press, made the following statement:

"We support the FCC's ambitious goal of connecting 100 million households to super-fast Internet service -- now let's get to work on the policy changes that are necessary to make it a reality. We need our leaders to be focused on implementing the right pro-competitive, pro-openness policies for all Americans."
