Worldwatch President to Keynote Art Center Summit
 

WASHINGTON - December 19 - Recognizing the integral role designers can play in the creation of sustainable goods and services that drive our economy, Worldwatch Institute President Christopher Flavin and Biofuels Project Manager Suzanne Hunt will be featured speakers at the Art Center Summit: Designing Sustainable Mobility at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California on February 7-8, 2007. This Summit is will bring together designers and those who partner and work with them to discuss creative and sustainable solutions that address the social, environmental, and economic costs of maintaining a mobile society.

Flavin will keynote the opening session of the conference, which will bring together business and creative professionals to discuss the role of design in creating sustainable transportation. Hunt will be a featured pre-summit speaker.

The evening session will be keynoted by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Other participants include Christopher E. Bangle, Director of BMW Group Design, BMW Group; Amory Lovins, Chief Executive Officer, Rocky Mountain Institute; and Dean Kamen, inventor, entrepreneur, and Founder of DEKA Research & Development Corporation.
