WASHINGTON - APRIL 25 - Today, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) re-launched jackinthehouse.org. The site details the web of corruption led by former Republican super lobbyist Jack Abramoff and 29 of his ethically-challenged friends and allies. Since first launching jackinthehouse.org in April 2005, over 100,000 people have visited the site and thousands have contacted the House Ethics Committee asking for a full investigation into members of Congress who are linked to Abramoff and his cronies.
While the Senate and House Ethics Committees have yet to take action, federal investigators continue to issue indictments and secure plea deals in this ever expanding case of run-away corruption. The new jackinthehouse.org describes in detail the abuse of power by members of Congress, congressional staff, Bush administration officials and conservative activists. To date, CREW has compiled 30 profiles of individuals involved in this tangled web, including:
Jack Abramoff
President George W. Bush
Ed Buckham
Sen. Conrad Burns (R-MO)
Julie Doolittle
Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX)
Italia Federici
Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-ND)

Today, CREW is asking for people across the country to demand that Rep. Bob Ney to take responsibility for his conduct and resign from office.
"The house of cards that Jack Abramoff built has toppled," said Melanie Sloan, executive director of CREW. "Jackinthehouse.org provides the American people with a way to both learn about and take action against the corruption that has permeated Washington, D.C. As the Department of Justice investigation widens, more players in the Abramoff circle will tell their stories and new indictments are sure to follow. CREW will continue to update its website to keep the public apprised as to who is involved in the greatest congressional scandal in history."
Jackinthehouse.org is a project of CREW (http://www.citizensforethics.org), a non-partisan, non-profit organization that targets government officials who sacrifice the common good to special interests.
