WASHINGTON - April 24 -
Who: Billionaires for Bush -- advocates for the interests of the wealthiest one percent.
What: Billionaires will sabotage a press conference and speak power to truth. "A bunch of mainstream Americans are attacking Billionaire interests. These so-called do-gooders plan to report on our multimillion-dollar lobbying to repeal the Dynasty tax. The richest 18 families in America have made a shrewd investment in legislation! We donated to congressmen. We hired high-priced lobbyists. We used trade association fronts to funnel hundreds of millions of dollars into repealing the estate tax. We will each gain tens of billions. It is a lie to say that the U.S. treasury will lose about $1 trillion over the next decade. That sum can be made up with cut services and extra taxes on wages," a spokesperson said. "Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-ich) promised us he will bring a repeal vote to the Senate floor as early as the second week in May. Our money says it will pass."
When: Tuesday, April 25, 2006, 11:10 am EDT
Where: Stewart Mott House, 122 Maryland Ave. NE, Washington, DC
Photo Op: Billionaires in tuxedos and gowns, sipping champagne before noon, get rowdy on some pointy-headed think-tank do-gooders armed only with the truth.
