WASHINGTON - February 14 - Amnesty International USA has organized a reception celebrating the expansion of the Congressional Human Rights Caucus (CHRC) to the United States Senate on Wednesday, February 15, at 5:30 p.m. in room 345 in the Russell Office Building.
The reception, cosponsored by a coalition of leading human rights groups, will include opening remarks by Deputy Secretary of State Robert Zoellick, CHRC co-founder Representative Tom Lantos (D-CA) and CHRC co-chair Representative Frank Wolf (R-VA), followed by statements from Senate co-chairs Sam Brownback (R-KS) and Tom Harkin (D-IA).
