International Peace Conference
 

LONDON - November 30 - On 10 December 2005 more than 1,000 delegates will gather at the Royal Horticultural Hall in Central London. They will be there to discuss the campaign to bring the troops home and the way forward for peace internationally. Delegates will be coming from all over the world and they will hear from leading peace activists from Iraq, USA and Britain.

Prominent among the speakers will be:

Cindy Sheehan, Gold Star Families for Peace
Hasan Zergani Hashim - Spokesperson Muqtada Al Sadr
Rose Gentle, Military Families Against the War
Aytollah Jawad Al Khalissi - General Secretary Iraqi National Foundation Congress
Reg Keys, Military Familes Against the War
Kelly Dougherty, founder of Iraq Veterans against the War
Medea Benjamin, Code Pink
Ann Wright, former US diplomat who resigned on eve of war
Phyllis Bennis, Institute of Policy Studies
Tony Benn
George Galloway MP

This will be the largest gathering of international peace activists ever seen and will lay the basis for joint work across the world in 2006 - focusing on the 3rd anniversary of the illegal invasion of Iraq.
