WASHINGTON -- March 31 -- On Monday, April 4, the Sierra Club, National Wildlife Federation, Population Connection, Audubon, Population Action International and the Izaak Walton League of America will hold a briefing on population, international family planning and the environment at the Rayburn House Building for Congressional staff and concerned citizens. Keynote speaker for the event will be Dr Jane Goodall, DBE, Founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace. Dr Goodall will share her life's work and experiences in a lecture titled "A Reason For Hope- Perspectives on Population, Family Planning and the Environment". Making the connection between her initiatives in Africa and around the world, Dr Goodall will highlight projects that focus on the connection between population and the environment, sustainable natural resource conservation and community socioeconomic development.
