SACREMENTO, CA - - March 28 -- On March 30 Senate Bill 484 and Assembly Bill 908 will be introduced in the legislature, aiming to ensure the safety of cosmetics and personal care products produced and sold in California. Current loopholes in federal law allow companies to put chemicals linked to cancer and reproductive harm in personal care products. Representatives of health advocacy organizations will join the bill authors, Senator Carol Migden and Assemblymember Judy Chu, to formally introduce these important bills.
