NEW YORK - August 16 - On August 18th, the Sierra Club will release a new, hard-hitting report titled, "Air Pollution and Deception at Ground Zero: How the Bush Administration's Reckless Disregard of 9/11 Toxic Hazards Poses Long-Term Threats for New York City and the Nation." The 180 page report takes the most comprehensive look at well-known, and little-known, health impacts of the attacks of 9/11 and, most importantly, how the Bush Administration's mistakes in the aftermath are in danger of being institutionalized as policy to handle future attacks. The report will be released at a press conference with workers and residents who were exposed to Ground Zero pollution; health and safety experts; and members of Congress on Wednesday, August 18th at 11:00 AM, on the steps of City Hall.
