Abu Ghraib Prison Abuses

WASHINGTON - June 23 - Today Rep. Waxman, along with Democratic Leader Pelosi, Armed Services Ranking Member Skelton, and Judiciary Ranking Member Conyers held a press conference regarding the need to investigate prison abuse at Abu Ghraib. The members announced introduction of legislation to create a select committee in the House to investigate the abuses at Abu Ghraib prison and elsewhere. The members also announced introduction of a Resolution of Inquiry which would formally request that the White House provide documents related to Abu Ghraib. For Rep.
