Media Advisory for May 6: Mother's Day Stroller Brigade to Stop Mercury Pollution

WASHINGTON - May 4 - THURSDAY, MAY 6, 2004, at 10:15 am, Alex Gould, the voice behind Nemo from the blockbuster hit, "Finding Nemo," and his mother will join other moms, toddlers, clean air and public health advocates as they ring in Mother's Day at a rally adjacent to the White House. These groups will urge the Bush administration to protect the health of women and young children by cleaning up toxic mercury pollution from power plants.

Mercury is a potent neurotoxin. When passed from pregnant women to their babies, it can cause learning disabilities, memory problems and developmental delays.
