Due to increasing failures of the Bush administration and its agencies to protect wild salmon and steelhead on the Columbia and Snake rivers, representatives from sport and commercial fishing communities, businesses, regional tribes and conservation organizations are making an important announcement next Wednesday. This announcement comes on the eve of the Bonneville Power Administration's decision to reduce or eliminate summer spill at four dams on the Columbia and Snake rivers - actions condemned by state, federal and tribal fishery biologists.
