WASHINGTON - March 8 - On First Anniversary of Iraq War, Military Families Join Veterans and Peace Activists in Memorial Procession from Dover Air Force Base to the White House WHAT: A diverse group of organizations, including military families, veterans, religious and peace groups, will be joining in a Memorial Procession from Dover Deleware to Washington DC. Dover Air Force Base, a military base off limits to the media, where Iraq war dead arrive. The following day, participants will start at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC, home of many of the wounded from the Iraq war, to begin a procession to the White House. Those gathered, including survivor families, will be mourning those killed in Iraq, demanding necessary support for the wounded, and calling for an end to the war. A nonviolent civil disobedience action will be held at the end of legal demonstrations, as some memorial attendees attempt to bring the memories of those killed to the White House.
