| WASHINGTON
- September 22 - Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich (D-OH), Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, will hold a press conference to announce that he will be introducing the first comprehensive bill to repeal the offensive sections of the USA PATRIOT Act. The press conference will take place at 2pm on Wednesday, September 24th at the Cannon Terrace.
The bill, the Benjamin Franklin True Patriot Act, will repeal over ten sections of the original USA PATRIOT Act. The bill has been endorsed by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) and has 19 Congressional co-sponsors.
Kucinich will unveil the legislation on Wednesday at 2 pm on the Cannon Terrace.
