Women's Groups to Announce Endorsement of Presidential Candidate for 2004 Race

WASHINGTON - August 25 - Because women's issues will play a prominent role in the 2004 presidential election, two of the top women's groups in the nation will announce their candidate endorsement on Women's Equality Day, August 26. The National Organization for Women PAC and the National Women's Political Caucus are encouraging their members, and all women's rights supporters, to work to elect a presidential candidate with a demonstrated commitment to women's issues.

What: Announcement of Endorsement in 2004 Presidential Election

Who: Kim Gandy, President, National Organization for Women PAC; Roselyn O'Connell, President, National Women's Political Caucus; 2004 Presidential Candidate

When: Tuesday, August 26 12:30 p.m.

Where: National Press Club; 529 14th S. NW; Washington, D.C.; First Amendment Room

NOW/PAC and the National Women's Political Caucus emphasize that women's rights are in great danger under the current administration. In order to advance women's equality in the United States and around the globe, a strong women's rights supporter must be elected to the White House in 2004. The endorsements from these powerful groups are designed to return fairness and justice to the highest office in our country.
