Nation's Top Peace Psychologists Meet in DC
to Discuss War
|
|
|
| WASHINGTON
- March 25 - Psychology has already played a major role in this
war. The United States from the beginning relied on multiple psychological
war techniques to try and induce the Iraqis into surrendering.
Instead of
the surrenders the United States military was hoping for, they
have met stiff resistance. When you invade someone's home, they
will defend themselves.
If it comes
to occupation, how will the Iraqis react? Will the U.S. be viewed
as liberators, or an invading force?
There is a
lot of psychology involved in this war. Amid that backdrop, some
of the nation's top psychologists who are devoted to peace will
be meeting in Washington DC this week to discuss many of the issues
surrounding this war.
