Amnesty International to Issue New Call for Accountability in U.S. Torture Scandal at Annual Report Launch
 

WASHINGTON -- May 23 -- News Advisory: Amnesty International Executive Director William F. Schulz will condemn the lack of an independent, thorough investigation into the U.S. torture scandal and call for reinvigorated efforts to bring those culpable to justice at the launch of Amnesty International's 2005 Annual Report. The report, a 308-page analysis of the year's setbacks and advancements for human rights in 149 countries and territories, will be released May 25 during a morning press conference at the National Press Club.
