WASHINGTON -- November 2 -- This Time Were Watching (www.ttww.org) is preparing nonviolent direct action nationwide - especially in swing states - in the event of a disputes over the legitimate victor of the presidential election and/or charges of massive voting rights violations. The project is providing advance training in nonviolent action, building a network of youth organizations that can mobilize their members, and supporting the development of local plans for action in more than 40 cities in the event of a stolen election. This Time Were Watching is a project of the League of Pissed Off Voters, the Ruckus Society, and Truth Force Training Center. It is coordinating its national call with two other coalitions: No Stolen Elections (www.nov3.us) and Beyond Voting (www.beyondvoting.org). Naina Khanna of the League of Pissed Off Voters pledged: We will not allow a repeat of 2000, when people especially poor people and people of color like those in Dade County, Florida were left to protest their stolen ballots alone, while the rest of us, in shock and confusion, were unprepared to respond. This time we are watching and we are ready. For more information, please visit WWW.TTWW.ORG.
