WASHINGTON - July 16 - On July 22 at a 9:30 a.m. news conference at the National Press Club, Center for Progressive Regulation President Thomas O. McGarity, a law professor at the University of Texas and an expert in food safety law, will release a comprehensive analysis of the governments regulatory response to Mad Cow in the United States. The report explores significant loopholes in the governments so-called Mad Cow Firewalls, and in their on-the ground implementation in the last six months.
