Scientists Discover Pervasive Contamination from Genetic Engineering; Findings Have Implications for Trade, Food, Human Health
 

WASHINGTON - February 20 - The Union of Concerned Scientists will release new research Monday detailing contamination from genetic engineering in a segment of agriculture presumed not to contain GE elements. The problem, if left unchecked, could disrupt agricultural trade with countries in Europe and Asia, burden the food industry, and threaten human health.
