One Student, Plus Shooter Reported Dead at Oregon High School

Police report that one student was killed during the shooting incident at Reynolds High School in Oregon.

As of about 10:00 am local time, police report that one student was killed during the shooting incident at Reynolds High School in Oregon. In addition, police say the "gunman" is also now deceased. The Oregonian has live updates of the still-developing situation.

Reports indicate that the situation is now "under control" and that the shooter is dead.

Earlier:

Police are responding to what they say is an "active" school shooting at Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon on Tuesday morning.

The shooting reportedly began shortly after school began at 8 AM.

Though many of the students are currently on lockdown inside the school, police are telling parents that there are no reports of students being shot.

However, a photojournalist with local news station KATU did report seeing a LifeFlight helicopter outside the school.

Other reports indicate a strong police presence at the school as well as the arrival of a local SWAT team.
