Occupy Roundup: Streaming DC Eviction Watch
The US Park Police says they will begin to enforce a ban on overnight camping in McPherson Square at noon ET today. Protesters were told they must remove all signs of camping, including bedding and storage equipment. As noon came, instead of leaving, protesters chose instead to erect a giant tent over the main statue of Civil War Union Army Major General James B. McPherson.

Show AllThe conventional response is to deride the apparent looseness yet, it is precisely what needs to be happening. People now understand that the pattern of 'blaming the victim' is predominant in racism, sexism, all-isms. I look forward to folks writing about this.
