Koch Bros. Company Declared 'Substantial Interest' in Keystone XL Pipeline
A document filed with Canada's Energy Board appears to cast doubt on claims by Koch Industries that it has no interest in the controversial pipeline.
In recent months Koch Industries Inc., the business conglomerate run by billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch, has repeatedly told a U.S. Congressional committee and the news media that the proposed Keystone XL oil sands pipeline has "nothing to do with any of our businesses."

In 2009, Flint Hills Resources Canada LP, an Alberta-based subsidiary of Koch Industries, applied for—and won—"intervenor status" in the National Energy Board hearings that led to Canada's 2010 approval of its 327-mile portion of the pipeline. The controversial project would carry heavy crude 1,700 miles from Alberta to the Texas Gulf Coast.
In the form it submitted to the Energy Board, Flint Hills wrote that it "is among Canada's largest crude oil purchasers, shippers and exporters. Consequently, Flint Hills has a direct and substantial interest in the application" for the pipeline under consideration.

Show AllAn already very suspect project has just become toxic in more ways than one. If this is 'allowed' to go forward, the Koch brothers will have the vehicle that will make them the wealthiest persons in the Americas, surpassing Carlos Slim. Of course, what they do with their wealth has already been seen, so their acquisition of such a huge amount with a project of this scale simply can not move forward.
I just can't believe they would lie to us, what is this fox news?

These two are in the news quite a bit lately for lying, bribery, trading with the enemy funding the Tea Party etc.
Knowing that if protester's demands are met, their heads could be the first to roll, the Kochs seem to be putting on their defiant faces and cranking up the opposition.
This is nothing compared to the Koch Brothers illegally helping out their good friend in Iran, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The Onion couldn't help but comment: "But think how it would look if the guys who started up Americans for Prosperity weren't prospering."

Why don't they refine the tar sands up in Canada where they're from? Why does it have to be refined thousands of miles away, in Houston for God's sake? Houston has never/and cannot now, pass the air pollution standards set by the EPA. How will refining tar sands effect the air in Houston? I can only think it will make it worse. Doesn't anyone care? Many of my friends as well as myself have already had cancer. We have the best cancer facility in the country. Is this a coincidence?
Then I hear that the refined product will be shipped to China. Huh? Excuse me, but isn't Alberta a tad closer to China than Houston? What is going on here, really?

I continue to be flabbergasted at the comprehensive and treasonous evil that is practiced by these two assholes. Their criminality is quite clear, why aren't they being investigated and ultimately prosecuted for their terrible crimes? I know, because justice for billionaires is not the same as justice for us. I would guess that Dick Cheney must be very pleased because he knows that even when his loathsome corrupt existence comes to an end that his work will be carried on by these two contemptible scumbags. If the American republic does fall the Koch Brothers will be on the top ten list of reasons why.
When these two and the mass murdering bastard leader of Halliburton dies, at the pearly gates they will have the same amount of money as the rest of us, but we will should have a clear conscience and they don't take master charge at purgatory. Is it not hilariously ironic that the Koch Brothers, who fund a relentless public relations campaign to unseat Obama to the tune of multiple millions, are the direct beneficiaries of Obama and the State Dept. stamp of approval for the Tar Sands project to go forward? You cannot make this shit up folks. Only in Washington: represented by the most hideous bottom feeders on the planet; and additonally seconded only to their loyal cadre of apologists and technocrats wiping their smelly rear ends for them. Do I hear an amen from Hartmann, Katrina, Hayden, Nichols, et al? (For all I know, the aforementioned might have monetary interests in the project as well.)
