$20b would not repair the damage... no amount of money will... this is, I believe, the toughest nut for the human brain to get... money cannot fix the damage we have done...it cannot repair the crab's perforated carapace, nor produce eggs within... nothing can... all we can do is rapidly minimize our own activity, and let nature have time... otherwise, the Arctic is the next insanity...

Let's put it to a referendum. Bruce Feinman can show up at 12 noon on Labor Day at Grande Isle. Everybody that shows up gets a vote. Then Biloxi, at 2 pm. "What's that Cooper, he never made it to Panama City at 4 pm?" The Gulf and the people of the Gulf can never be made whole. How does that Feinman bastard sleep at night? The people that have been hurt the most have received either no money or the least. Example: fishermen have been lowballed by 10,000%'s in submitted claims being told take, or leave it. The reason for this is whatever the fishery damages paid out to fishermen will be a basis of fines for EPA. The health claims are being rejected out of hand, "prove it" and most of these people will have (shortened) lifetimes of care needed from now on. I guess Feinman has privileged information that surplus population decrease is a desirable outcome of the "disaster". Shock doctrine at work again.

BP needs to dissolve itself and arrange for proceeds in perpetuity to the Gulf States and its victims. People are dying from all the chemicals that were thrown into the Gulf as a result of this monumental over-reach, not to speak of the myriad other problems which, as rightly detailed here, will never in the lifetimes of those currently resident on this planet, from the oldest to the youngest, be repaired. Dissolve the company. The sooner we are allowed to forget the name "BP", the more restful our sleep will be. Until then, the initials BP stand only for another great victory for the private sector. Remind every Republican you meet of this monument to mendaciousness, greed, excess, and stupidity -- ours, if we let them get by with this.
