Hungry in Gaza, More and More
GAZA CITY - "Sometimes, for a day or two we don't even have bread, nor flour to make bread. There's a store nearby that, when we are truly desperate, lets us take a bag of bread or something simple, on credit. I owe them a lot of money for the food I've brought from them, but I still can't pay them."
According to Amani Jouda, Nutrition Officer for the World Health Orgnanisation (WHO) in Gaza, 74 percent of children aged 9-12 months are anaemic, up from 65 percent in 2009, as are another 32 percent of children aged 7-15 years, and 45 percent of pregnant women in their first months of pregnancy. (REUTERS/Mohammed Salem) Umm Khamis Khattab, 52, lives in a single, bare-bones room in central Gaza's Bureij refugee camp. Khamis, her disabled son, 30, is married but has no source of income.
"Our situation is very bad. We used to receive financial support because my son is disabled. Now, we get nothing. After my husband died five years ago, his family tried to help us, for a short while. But they can't take care of themselves, let alone us," says the widow. "So we get by on hand-outs from neighbors now and then."
Umm Khamis tries to generate an income selling eggs from the handful of chickens she tends. "We are three people living off 20 shekels (roughly five dollars) per week from the eggs."
The World Food Program (WFP) and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) define food insecurity as people not having "adequate physical, social or economic access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food which meets their dietary needs."
Palestinians vulnerable to food insecurity are further defined as "households with both income and consumption below 5.6 dollars per adult equivalent per day." Actual food insecure households are defined as having "an income and consumption below 4.7 dollars per adult equivalent per day."
In the Gaza Strip, where unemployment levels soar up to 65 percent, and more than 80 percent people are food aid dependent, the average income per day per person is just two dollars. According to the WFP and FAO, the food insecure in Gaza are an alarming 61 percent, with another 16 percent vulnerable to food insecurity.
"I'd be happy just selling things on the street if it brought five shekels per day," says Abu Suleiman, 51, father of four. He, his wife and their young children live in Sheik Radwan, north of Gaza City, in a windowless, concrete block room, the kind that is ordinarily used as a space for small shops.
"We all sleep together in this room, which is our kitchen and bathroom as well," he says.
The building owner uses the room next door for his sheep and chickens. "The stench is incredible, we can't escape it. And I worry about my children's health, but there's nowhere better we can go."
Abu Suleiman works making tea and coffee and cleaning the office of a media group in Gaza. "I work from 7am to 4:30pm and earn just 350 shekels per month," he says. "The rent for our room is 150 shekels per month, so that leaves just 200 shekels to get by on." He says he walks the hour both ways to work in order to avoid taxi fares.
"But 200 shekels isn't enough for five people and a baby. If I even thought about buying meat, the money would be gone quickly. So we buy cheaper food: rice, lentils, pasta. Never meat."
With food prices highly inflated under the siege Israel has imposed on Gaza since shortly after Hamas's election in 2006, few families can afford meats, fish, or fresh produce. The 2008-2009 Israeli war on Gaza further destroyed meat and poultry production besides devastating the agricultural sector.
Ten percent of poultry and 17 percent of cattle and ruminants were killed. Eighteen percent of Gaza's productive agricultural lands were destroyed, along with another 17 percent of greenhouse-grown vegetables, says the United Nations (UN).
The combination of this agricultural destruction and the mortal Israeli imposition of a no-go zone on Gaza's border lands, encompassing roughly one-third of Gaza's arable land means that as of June 2009, 46 percent of agricultural land in Gaza was either inaccessible or out of production, impacting on the availability of fresh and nutritious produce in the Strip and affecting over 60,000 people earning a living from agriculture alone.
At the same time, fishers are no longer able to breach more than miles, most usually staying within less than a mile of Gaza's shores. While the Oslo accords granted Gazan fishermen the right to fish 20 nautical miles off Gaza 's coast, Israel has incrementally and violently reduced the fishing limits.
The FAO reports a decline in total fishing catch by 47 percent between 2008 and 2009, with fishers subject to daily shooting from Israeli gunboats in Gazan water.
"Every day in Gaza, more and more people become hungry, more new people come for help," says Dr. Al-Wahaidi, Director of Health for Ard al-Insan, Gaza's prime center for the hungry and malnourished. "And there's no difference between city dwellers and camp residents, except that maybe camp families have more of a social network to rely on, and country residents have more possibilities for growing produce for themselves."
According to Amani Jouda, Nutrition Officer for the World Health Organization (WHO) in Gaza, 74 percent of children aged 9-12 months are anemic, up from 65 percent in 2009, as are another 32 percent of children aged 7-15 years, and 45 percent of pregnant women in their first months of pregnancy.
The UN Millennium Project Hunger Task Force cites the importance of local agriculture and livestock in reducing hunger.
Ard al-Insan's Dr. Al-Wahaidi sees it clearly. "The main reason for hunger in Gaza is Israeli politics on the people Gaza. Gaza is different than other places. When we have a disaster, we cannot leave our small piece of land to find work or safety elsewhere. We are trapped inside."

As I have argued about climate issues, It is all about the money and not peace.

Who benefits here? Look up Aes and The Atlantica Group.
If we could only get US Christians to stop thinking that the word "Israel" means "God's Chosen People living in the Bible", we'd be in slightly better shape.
The biggest obstacle is that they control 100% of our politicians, both US houses of Congress, and almost everything all Americans read, see or hear in the course of their day.
Netanyahu is a lot more powerful than Obama, or the US congress, for that purpose, because he can remove anyone in our government from their position.
I challenge everyone who got thru this article without vomiting, to ask their Jewish friends about their "personal connection to Israel." They will answer with some drivel about Jews needing a safe place to live, even though Jews in the last 60 years have been safer in Germany and New York than in the stolen lands of Palestine.
Israel's vicious, slow-motion holocaust against the Palestinians continues.
Since Israel is now insisting on being recognized as a "Jewish" state, I have a request: One of you rabbis out there, please clue the rest of us in: Why do you think God is okay with starving prisoners (and, of course, shooting and bombing them, and driving them from their homes), but against just giving them a bar of soap and marching them to the "showers"? The subtleties here escape me.
Keep in mind that sending Palestinians to gas chambers is out of the question in the Zionist society, but mainly for symbolic reasons. As the late Aryeh Caspi, an Israeli journalist once said that, "unfortunately for the Palestinians, so long as the state's policy toward them is less than genocidal, anything else is morally justifiable."

A few years ago there was much consternation at methods of relaxation of Israeli guards which approximated what Nazi camp guards used to do to wind down after a taxing day's work:

It's the same reason why Neonazis in our times will never be caught organizing parades or wearing jackboots, even as their mental blocks have much in common with "classical" Fascism. As Umberto Eco once put it:
...the fascist game can be played in many forms, and the name of the game does not change. The notion of fascism is not unlike Wittgenstein's notion of a game. A game can be either competitive or not, it can require some special skill or none, it can or cannot involve money. Games are different activities that display only some "family resemblance," as Wittgenstein put it...Ur-Fascism is still around us, sometimes in plainclothes. It would be so much easier for us if there appeared on the world scene somebody saying, "I want to reopen Auschwitz, I want the Blackshirts to parade again in the Italian squares."

Israel has ALWAYS been recognized as a Jewish State. Israel was given a legal document by a legally recognized international body to be established as a Jewish
State just as Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Somalia, Yemen, Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Libyia, Saudi Arabia, etc., etc., etc., are Islamic States...no different.
How people distort history and tell lies. You do read don't you?
The Arabs living in Israel are far better off living in Israel than if they were living in anyone of their Islamic States and enjoy more freedoms than living in anyone of the TOTALITARIAN ISLAMIC STATES.....
Such garbage you write.
Apologists for Israel's oppression of Palestinians are disgusting human beings. The rationalizations defy all logic:
It doesn't matter whether readers are consistent about condemning other countries' repression. Criticizing a murderer for his transgression while failing to condemn another's doesn't make said criticism invalid. Everybody knows that most Arab states treat their citizens like dog____.
It is also irrelevant whether Arab citizens are treated well within Israel's borders. The article is about Palestinians in Gaza, not Israel.
What matters is that they are starving and are unable to cultivate their own land and fish their own waters. And they can't leave.
Whether or not Israel is currently occupying Gaza is also beside the point. If I lock you in a room and slowly starve you, the effect would be no different than if I did so at gunpoint.

Right back at you Ms Hasbara: "Such garbage you write." By the way, English is not your native language, is it? Perhaps Hebrew?

Wow! Shekels...(96 USD) a month! The Zionist occupier must be laughing all the way to the Bank of Tel Aviv forcing the occupied Gazans ( and all other occupied Palestinians) to use their currency, and in effect strengthen the Jewish state even more.
Israel is not occupying Gaza. Israel left Gaza. Don't you read?
Yes, dear, we do read. That's how we know that everything that you've posted in this thread is a lie.
q
What I have written is not a lie. What I have written is the truth. Read ......and read from recognized, authoritative, unbiased, scholarly sources who objectively look at the historic facts and through concrete evidence discuss the facts....
Anyone can say anything but it has to be backed up by facts.....for example Bishop Eddie Long has said and categorically denied sexually abusing those teenage boys.
Granted there hasn't been a trial yet but after an unbiased investigation lets see who is telling the truth...Bishop Eddie Long is categorically denying everything; he is SAYING that those teenage boys are not telling the truth ...lets see who is telling the truth.....President Bill Clinton SAID that he did not have sex with Monica Levinsky...the FACTS showed that he did...He SAID he didn't but concrete evidence shows that he did.
anyone can and does say anything but when there is concrete evidence one then comes to KNOW that what one person is SAYING is a lie and what the other person is SAYING is the truth.
I am saying the truth!
"and read from recognized, authoritative, unbiased, scholarly sources who objectively look at the historic facts and through concrete evidence discuss the facts...."
Translation: accept all of the hasbaric bullshit put out by Israeli disinformation specialists and zionist sympathizers in the mainstream media.
Yes, you must back up your assertions with facts. You have not done so. You are a liar.
I agree with the other poster who pointed out that English is obviously not your first language.

The US supplies all the white phosphorous Israel can use to help reduce the numbers of Gazans, including the hungry ones.
How come you guys don't label the other countries where Palestinians earn less than this grotesquely low amount as nazis? Isn't all evil evil and in need of condemnation?
As for the nazis, I don't believe they paid their workers.
Free Kurdistan!
1. Our tax dollars are financing this slow motion holocaust by Israel against the Palestinians.
2. The Palestinians are locked into Gaza by Israel. No exits. Like the Warsaw Ghetto in 1943.
3. Our client state Israel refuses to allow aid to reach the Palestinians.
4. Worldwide anger against the U.S. for supporting Israel's 60+ years of ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity is behind all the justifications our ruling elite uses to promote the endless war on "terror" which has bankrupted us and reduced our Constitution to empty words on paper.
If you have lost your job, your home, or your health "insurance," you can thank Israel. If the libraries in your city have closed, the schools have no funds, the street lights are turned off, and the food banks are empty while the line of hungry families snakes down the block, ditto. If your kids can't find jobs and have to move back home, and you have to work long past the time you had hoped to retire, give a big shout-out and thank you to Israel.
Our elected officials have been supporting this slow motion holocaust by Israel against the Palestinians. I'll not vote for any of them again.
Boy are you ignorant of the facts! Do you work for Dick Cheney and or anyone of the other people who own big U.S. oil companies who want to control oil around the world or you must work for some of the companies making military ammunition and supplies who profit from world wide wars and or perhaps you work for the Republicans who through their support of deregulation of financial markets allowed Wall Street to create valueless financial products and who support the inequitable tax laws that allow huge corporations to pay next to nothing in taxes. Or perhaps you work for the businesses who left the U.S. to manufacture goods in Mexico and Asia that destroyed the American middle class and left you without jobs and libraries and or maybe you work for the American Medical Insurance companies that deny health care to people who can't afford to buy health insurance.... what else are you blaming on Israel......because "shurely" to shift the entire blame for the demise of U.S. away from these businesses and organizations that I just mentioned and to blame it all on Israel just couldn't be that you are ant-semetic could it? Or perhaps you are just stupid and can't see the forest for the trees.
And Isreal is giving aid to the Gazans that is also a lie...do you read? Israel is THE ONLY DEMOCRATIC STATE in the Middle East. Do you understand what that actually means....All of the other countries in that region are totalitarian...do you know anything about what you are talking about...apparently not!
LAUREL - I TOO CAN SET THE CAPS LOCK!
YOU'RE WRONG - YOU WOULDN'T KNOW A "FACT" IF IT HIT YOU IN THE FACE - ISRAEL IS NOT A DEMOCRACY AS ANY ISRAELI ARAB WILL TESTIFY.
ISRAEL IS JUST ABOUT THE WORLD'S ONLY KLEPTOCRACY, RUN AND FINANCED BY A WORLD-WIDE NETWORK OF KLEPTOCRATS.
prove it........how different (better) is an Arab Isreali's life in Isreal than it would be in one of the totalitarian, dictatorial, corrupt Islamic states that controls their people's every movement and disallows them from speaking out or protesting against their own governments or kills them when they do protest them or keeps their women locked up and covered up and stones them to death if they disobey their men (lord help us)...actually there is no comparison as to how much better Arab Israeli's lives are in Israel than they would be if they were living in an Islamic states.....
not so terrible that they have to travel an extra thirty minutes to get to where they are going (Jewish Israeli's also have to navigate around checkpoints and walls) because there is an Isreali checkpoint; checkpoints that have been proven to help save Isreali lives and to have cutdown on terrorists attacks.
How many Jews are there in an Islamic States governments?.... None!... are there Arab Israeli's in Isreal's parliament....Yes...if you do not see the significance of this then let me explain it to you....you see Arab Israeli's are allowed to vote and to participate in the government........that is one of the defintiions of democracy.....just in case you don't know what makes up a democratic state...how many Jews are allowed to vote in an Islamic state....None....
there ....No capitals......does that make you feel any better
". . . in one of the totalitarian, dictatorial, corrupt Islamic states that controls their people's every movement and disallows them from speaking out or protesting against their own governments or kills them when they do protest them or keeps their women locked up and covered up and stones them to death if they disobey their men . . . ."
Every point made in this excerpt can be applied even more truthfully to Israel's treatment of the Palestinians (except for the stoning; the IDF just guns down Arab women and children).
q
Laurel,
They shoot random fishermen when they go out to catch food for the other starving people. They kill them dead. That sounds really democratic. Stop sticking up for criminals. This is a certain case of grievous rampant war crime and slaughter. Starving people to death, keeping them without food, water, medicine, killing their families and forcing them to live in fear of being murdered, taking from them a chance to live in a suitable dwelling, denying them of the chance to see their children grow to adulthood and marry, the chance to earn a living, or go to school...That is not democracy, that's criminal. It doesn't matter what religion people are. They are People. Human beings, like you(I assume) and I. Religion is just an attempt at manifesting an understanding of our Creator. People use Religion for evil purposes, but that doesn't make God evil. Murder is murder, ethnic cleansing is ethnic cleansing. We all need to pray or hope for peace, compassion, and understanding.
When the Palestinians were the majority they did not treat the Jews in this respect, and it wasn't until the Jews kept stealing land, and incountered France, then Britain to take the land by force and give it to the Jews, that is when the Palestinians started to fight back. We supplied the Jews with Guns and the Palestinians only had rocks to use against Guns. If not for the neo-con Jews, Hamas would not have stepped in to help. The reason Israel first pushed Bush to make threats against Iran as Israel was doing and Obama following though to attack Iran, is because Israel is afraid Iran might help the people in Gaza take back their land. The Jews are in no position to even expect others to pity them now when they mention the Hollocaust.
Zionists, not Jews.
BIG difference.
During the Holocaust, Jews were killed. Zionists generally weren't, for one.
Oh Please! The Arabs welcomed the Nazi's and co-operated with them during WW11 before the establishment of the state of Israel....how do the Israelis treat the Muslims?....better than they are treated in any other Islamic totalitarian state in the region. They have more advantages and better living conditions and a better standard of living, better medical care, more food, etc., living in Israel than any other dictatorial Islamic state in the region.
The Jews bought the land from the people. It was their own land owners that sold the land to the Jews; so blame the Arabs that sold the land to the Jews not the Jews. If someone offers to sell you something you want, I am sure you would buy it too.
The Palestinians have kept their people living like pigs for decades and have either pocketed the money or bought war material to bomb Israel.
Israel helps the Gazeans living in Gaza. Isreal is not concerned that Iran is going to help the Gazeans; Isreal is afraid that Iran is going to bomb Isreal off the face of this Earth like Ahmadinejad continulously says he will.......read lady....read....
Dear Laurel;
I think you have some facts confused. Ben-gurion worked with Hiltler to bring the first German Jews to the land. The idea was to bring the educated Germans with money and skills in order to jump start the forming of a nation. Hitler was more tha happy to take the money, and Ben-gurion , as were many others, was anxious to build the state. Sadly, they had no time for the survivors of the Holocaust, who just seemed so emotional and unwilling to work. Imagine how those survivors felt, to go from ill treatment from a warring nation to one of a building nation that had no sympathy either.
As I urge many to do, read Herzl's, " Altneuland" and see the vision of tolerance, including neighbors who were Islamic. The last thing that Ben-gurion and others wanted was the poor and illiterate Poles, and "useless' survivors. Heartless to be sure, but when the focus is on nation building, the people often don't seem to matter.
Herzl had a beautiful dream, but alas it is pretty much of a nightmare now. The Palestinians were willing to sell land just as many in other nations do too. I do not believe that they believed that the selling of pieces of land would turn into the serfdom of their collective souls.
If you believe that the Palestinians live like "pigs" then you must look at why this is so, and whom made it so. Also, you must wonder about your statement that "they" have more of everything living in Israel, but the Palestinians are not living in Israel; they are living in Palestine in very wretched conditions.
If this is too emotionally close for you, then I suggest reading ,"Noli Me T'angere" by Jose Rizal. It does deal with the Philippines, and the mindset and inhumane actions of the Catholic church and Spain upon the native people. The methods and the results are the same, no matter what nation you are comparing it to, including the historical actions of the United States.
Surely, if there is any god, then these cruel actions by any nation seem unjustified and seem to be bordering on the psychotic. I was vey impressed b the latest flotilla, and the Jewish people, who recognize the humanity of all people; I wish the zionists were of the same caliber.
I don't mean to feed this troll, and I won't again, but I am happy to remind everyone that the Jewish Zionists collaborated with the Nazis and fought against the British during WW2.
The Palestinians were among the few who did not collaborate openly with Nazis. On the other hand, the peoples and governments of France, Italy, Japan, Romania, Croatia, Chechnya, Bulgaria, Switzerland, ... etc. all collaborated openly with the Nazis.
But the Palestinians ignored the call for Jihad against the Allies that was declared by one Arab, al-Hajj Amin in April, 1941 (Righteous Victims, p. 165). Since the Palestinian people were promised full independence in 1949, and strict limitation on Jewish immigration to Palestine, based on the 1939 White Paper, the Palestinian people had an incentive to help the Allies win the war. It should be noted that several Palestinian brigades were enlisted into the British Army, and the Palestinian resistance to the brutal British occupation almost completely ceased during and after WW II.
The Zionists, however, supported the Nazis.
As historian Martin Gilbert has written:
"Avraham Stern who had formed a breakaway 'Irgun in Israel' movement (also known as the Stern Gang), tried to make contact with Fascist Italy in the hope that, if Mussolini were to conquer the Middle East, he would allow a Jewish State to be set up in Palestine. When Mussolini's troops were defeated in North Africa, Stern tried tomake contacts with Nazi Germany, hoping to sign a pact with Hitler which would lead to a Jewish State once Hitler had defeated Britain. After two members of the Stern's Gang had killed the Tel Aviv [British] police chief and two of his officers, Stern himself was caught and killed. His followers [chief among them Yitzhak Shamir who led the Stern Gang after Stern's death] continued on their path of terror." (Israel: A History, p. 111-112)
It is true that early Zionists bought some land from the Palestinians, who acted toward them with friendliness and respect. However, once it became clear that the Zionist plan was to acquire all the land, the Palestinians stopped selling. The Zionists took care of that by ethnic cleansing on a huge scale in 1948: more than 60% of the total Palestinian population was expelled from their homes. More than 530 Palestinian villages were depopulated and completely destroyed by the Zionist terrorists. This was the Nakba ("catastrophe") that Palestinians commemorate in the same way that Jews commemorate the Holocaust.
Israel is still preventing the return of approximately six million Palestinian refugees, who have either been expelled or displaced. Approximately 250,000 internally displaced Palestinian second-class citizens of Israel are prevented from returning to their homes and villages.
No point in addressing this troll's openly racist rhetoric. But, just for the record, let's address what Ahmadinejad actually said: "the occupation regime over Jerusalem should vanish from the page of time." It is only through deliberate mistranslation that Israel and its supporters are able to turn this statement into a threat, to fire their own hysteria and make-believe victimhood.
Ironically, the occupation regime of Israel WILL vanish from the page of time, because in their greed and cruelty, they have made a two-state solution impossible, and will be forced into a one-state solution, where everyone will have equal rights regardless of race or religion. (In fact, in Iran, Jews have equal rights with everyone else and buy property anywhere they like, --not the case with the second-class Arab-Israelis.)
A one-state solution will see an Israel that has a Palestinian majority. Israel as it is now, a rogue terrorist nation and an affront to Judaism (which Israel uses in the same way that the Ku Klux Klan used Christianity) will DISAPPEAR! This can't happen fast enough for most of the world. And it will be a big relief to those of us in the U.S. who are sick of seeing our taxes that are needed here at home wasted on financing Israel's crimes against humanity and the "war on terror" that our support of Israel has resulted in.
Laurel
It's about time you shared these drugs around that you're clearly on. It was the Zionist who co-operated with the Nazis during WW2. But then I guess you're great at re-writing history, having had so much practice. Tell us all about the Sonderkommando would you while you're at it if that's not to painful?
Vote Democrat! (sarcasm)
I notice that the Democratic party supporters stay away from these articles when advocating voting for the Democrats. It is just like the politicians and M$M, political silence and a media blackout when it comes to the plight of the Palestinians.
Besides the absence of Democratic party supporters, I notice when I log on at night that these threads are often infested by Zionist evil spirits. Just wondering whether you’d mind if I repost your comprehensive guide to hasbarist tactics in an attempt to exorcise them?
They should be banned for spamming, apart from the fact that their posts are always racist and inflammatory.
Thanks!
Please do post the guide, as well as anyone else can, since I don't always get to CD to read articles. Since yesterday, I see this and other articles related to the Palestinians have been attacked by the ethnic cleansing apologists. There had been a lull, for a while.
Tons of food and supplies are trucked into Gaza from Israel daily. Israel does not occupy Gaza. Egypt has walled off Gaza as well and has it's own blockade. Not a single Arab county has lifted a finger to help Gaza. Israel does a lot more for the people in Gaza than all the Arab countries combined. So all you Anti-Zionists start condemning the Arabs before you pick on the Jews otherwise you are showing your true anti-semitic colors.
You write like a German in the 40's telling the world how much the Third Reich was helping the Jews.
Google 'Hunger' and 'Gaza' and see what comes up.
"For children, hunger is beginning to bite. More than one in three babies is anaemic, while nearly one in ten is malnourished, according to a survey sponsored by the Danish government." Telegraph.co.uk Dispatch: Just how hungry is Gaza? 05 June 2010
You think the Danish government is anti-semitic?
"According to Amani Jouda, Nutrition Officer for the World Health Orgnanisation (WHO) in Gaza, 74 percent of children aged 9-12 months are anaemic, up from 65 percent in 2009, as are another 32 percent of children aged 7-15 years, and 45 percent of pregnant women in their first months of pregnancy." From the article on CD
The World Health Organization is anti-semitic?
"As the ICRC has stressed repeatedly, the dire situation in Gaza cannot be resolved by providing humanitarian aid. The closure imposed on the Gaza Strip is about to enter its fourth year, choking off any real possibility of economic development. Gazans continue to suffer from unemployment, poverty and warfare, while the quality of Gaza's health care system has reached an all-time low.
The whole of Gaza's civilian population is being punished for acts for which they bear no responsibility. The closure therefore constitutes a collective punishment imposed in clear violation of Israel's obligations under international humanitarian law." 14 June 2010, International Committee Red Cross
Do you think the Red Cross is anti-semitic?
Come on, bgryfe, it isn't anti-semitic to tell the truth about the impact of Israel's blockade and policies on the people, on the children, of Gaza. Israel's treatment of the people of Gaza is clearly an illegal, collective punishment.
How can you pretend otherwise?
"How can you pretend otherwise?"
Easy. He's paid to do so.
q
If you are telling us of the "tons of food and supplies trucked into Gaza from Israel daily." I disagree. Why then does a flotilla of food, building and medical supplies get attacked and people ger murdered and wounded? Why then does another get stopped at the Egyptian border and turned back? Why is it denied by Bibi and his zionists that it ever happened?
H-m-m. Did Laurel change her name; or are you just an additional hasbarist come to join her?
"Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife"...is god a sexist? Or is this just the rantings from the mind of a dark ages patriarch?
THE BIBLE IS AS MADE UP AS IT SOUNDS.
There is no god. The jews are not the chosen people. God did not give them that land.
It should have said, "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's land."
Dear 4thefuture:
One reading is:
"You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's."
That just about covers all of the "covets" ( especially the last in the list..."anything.") that would cover the land too,
Beef, how can you say that there is no God? What creates consciousness? Where does the breath of life come from? Where does all of material and immaterial existence originate? People sure didn't manifest the Earth, solar system, particles, atoms, giraffes, cellular structure, the respiratory system, digestive enzymes, stars...
I can tell you and all others that feel like they are so smart and independent, that loudly and ignorantly exclaim that there is NO GOD, just because they have been disillusioned by the false and destructive religions of men... God is. God is beyond our understanding, and is not to be blamed for our mistakes. It isn't right to blame God (no matter what name or word or other semantics you use to refer to or understand God...) for the horrible things that we miserable beings with spiritual amnesia do to one another. We are wretched to one another. The world is big enough, the Palestinians should all be moved to other places, they have to all be rescued and moved to where there are suitable conditions for them.
“It isn't right to blame God (no matter what name or word or other semantics you use to refer to or understand God...) for the horrible things that we miserable beings with spiritual amnesia do to one another.”
Yeah, OK, can’t argue with that.
“The world is big enough, the Palestinians should all be moved to other places...”
The Zionists are ethnically cleansing Palestinians and your solution is to help the Zionists! That would make you one of the miserable beings with spiritual amnesia who do horrible things to one another, would it not?
Unless, of course, God happens to be a freaking Zionist and approves of what His chosen people are doing to the Palestinians. But if that were so, it WOULD be right to blame God, wouldn't it?
Just looking at the maps it is very obvious what is happening. Israel is implementing its final solution to the palestinian problem. go look at the maps and tell me what you see. and bear in mind, there are going to be 2,000 more "settlements", shrinking those tiny specks of Palestinian land more and more until there is nothing left but Israel.
Israel has turned into a most despicable nation. One day it will reap what it has sown - hopefully soon.

I do not believe one person on this thread denied the Holocaust. You, however, are denying reality when you say that Israel is not doing its best to wipe out the people of Gaza and the West Bank. Right now we're discussing Gaza which is considered to be the largest prison camp on the planet by all thinking people. Obviously as an hasbarist you will push your myth that Israel is the country in need of protection from all the people of Gaza, over half of whom are CHILDREN. Please, go back from whence you came unless you have something to offer other than excuses for the inhumane treatment of the people of Gaza.
Oh, by the way, I am aware that many of the Arab nations haven't been very supportive of Gaza, perhaps it is because they know what kind of militarist nation they would be going against as Israel has the 4th largest military force on the face of the earth, thanks to the money freely given by the US government.
dont talk to it, flag it.
