Muslims See Murfreesboro Mosque Fire as Sign of Hate
MURFREESBORO - Bassma Fathy stood at the edge of a leveled lot where four construction vehicles used to break ground for an Islamic mosque were vandalized and one was set afire early Saturday morning.

She said she grew up with curiosity and questions about her Islamic faith, but this is the first time she has seen hatred.
"I think they (the perpetrators) are trying to send a message: Don't support them, don't help them, or you'll suffer the consequences," she said Sunday, referring to owners of the damaged equipment, Ole South Property.
Her father, Essam Fathy, chairman of the mosque's planning committee and a member of the advisory board, said detectives told him this was a "very obvious case of arson."
Federal investigators are not saying that officially, however.
Agents from the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives processed the scene on Veals Road on Saturday with assistance from the Rutherford County sheriff's office. ATF spokesman Eric Kehn said they may be able to release some details later this week.
The fire left Fathy and other members of the local Islamic community on edge, and two events Sunday that could be interpreted as attempts at intimidation got their attention as well.
From the construction site Sunday, Essam Fathy and others heard five to six gunshots as he gave an interview to CNN around 3:15 p.m. County dispatchers received only one call reporting shots fired and said that the sheriff's office is calling it an unconfirmed report.
A short while later, a horn blasted "Dixie" from a vehicle driving by.
Still, the Fathys and others from the mosque are trying to put the weekend's incidents into perspective. Essam Fathy said they've had an outpouring of support from the community.
The suspected arson fire culminated months of sometimes acrimonious debate over plans to build the mosque and followed the recent start of site preparation work.
Islamic families have lived in Murfreesboro more than 30 years without any problems, Essam Fathy said.
Bassma Fathy said she believes strongly that those responsible for the fire represent a small segment of the community. "I've lived here all my life," she said. "People know us. They know what happens here is like at any church. We get together, we pray. We go to each other's graduations. We go to each other's weddings. It's just really surprising that this would happen."
Church is supportive
Neighbors at Grace Baptist Church, adjacent to the 15-acre mosque site, said they were disturbed by the apparent arson.
"I don't think anyone rational would do something like that," said pastor Russell Richardson. "We want to be good neighbors to our neighbors, whoever they are."
Church member Betty Toler said they are supportive of their neighbors.

Mr. Bush started a bonfire that rages on and on. What is to fear about, "There is no God but God and Mohammad is His prophet"?

They should see it a stunt being stoked by corporations that don't anyone focusing on S 510, which is a corporate take over here.
S 510 appears to be the lynchpin of a series of plans:
1. putting the US fully under the WTO thus putting the whole country under corporate control.
It would end the Uruguay Round Agreement Act of 1994, which put US sovereignty and US law under perfect protection. Instead, S 510 says:
COMPLIANCE WITH INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS
Nothing in this Act (or an amendment made by this Act) shall be construed in a manner inconsistent with the agreement establishing the World Trade Organization or any other treaty or international agreement to which the United States is a party.
2. arranging a corporate court (if a section of HR 875 or HR 2749 are included in the bill), expected to be run by Michael Taylor, Monsanto VP ad lawyer, thus setting up corporate control over every person in the country.
The Administrator ... may use the funds in the account, without further appropriation or fiscal year limitation [No Congressional oversight.]
Remedies Not Exclusive- The remedies provided in this section are in addition to, and not exclusive of, other remedies that may be available. [Torture, rendition, seizure of property, imprisonment, etc. are not excluded.]
LIMITATION ON REVIEW- In a civil action under paragraph (1), the validity and appropriateness of the order of the Administrator assessing the civil penalty shall not be subject to judicial review.
3. linking to international agreements such as the one with the WHO which would allow a pandemic emergency to dissolve the remains of the US government here and move to full military control under the (corporately run) WHO and UN.

Current statutes permit federal prosecution of hate crimes (destruction of property) committed on the basis of a person's protected characteristic (religion).

Hope they catch the criminals. This has been a problem for years, over one thousand churches in this country have been torched in the past 10 years. Now mosques.

It may be a little premature to view this incident as a sign of anything. The exact circumstances and facts of what happened have not been fully clarified.

If we do research to the combination of the 911 attack and Reichstag, then on to the spread of hate to the Jews, now Muslims by leaders who they themselves harbor the hate, and the actions of Wall Street slowly though the 1920's to the crash, and then slowly though 2001 to 2009, including war invasions, it reads like a well made out plan. Eliminate the unwanted, and others who stand in the way of dominate power over all.

Many Americans are protesting the building of what they call a Mosque, two blocks from ground zero, where 3,000 Americans were killed by a gang of Muslim criminals. I do blame those who began the protest against the NYC Islamic community center for this. I guess they forgot, or never knew that Muslims died on 9/11 too. Maybe they didn't care, because America has become a country of screaming media jackals, and so many people want to blame others for any problems that they might have, that have nothing to do with any religion.
On the positive side, I read that the name of Tennessee came from the Yuchi Indian word,
tana-see, which means , "The meeting place." I think that the mosque could be the best thing for your city... America really does need a meeting place of minds, and to remember the words of the poet, Rumi, that there are many altars but one God.
America owes a lot to the Islamic religion, as your relatives are possibly the people that saved the writings of the ancients, which led to the Renaissance, which led to Europe discovering the ancient writings and the concept of Athenian Democracy. Christians were burning all kinds of ancient books, but Islam preserevd them.
That is kind of amazing, because without Islam, the concept of America would have never been, especially the idea which grew out of all of that and became Freedom of Religion. We are all so connected, and I wish that the media would spread the "good new"' that without Islam, there might not have ever been an America.
