Netanyahu Shrugs off Worldwide Criticism
The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has brushed aside international anger over the expansion of Jewish neighbourhoods in east Jerusalem by defining the new plans as ''standard procedure''.

Tuesday the Jerusalem municipality approved the construction of another
900 housing units in Gilo, which is built on land annexed by Israel
after the 1967 Six-Day War and is regarded as an illegal settlement by
the United Nations.
''There is nothing new in the planning procedures,'' a spokesman for Mr Netanyahu said. ''Gilo is a part of Jerusalem, just like Rehavia, Pisgat Zeev and Ramot Eshkol.''
South of Jerusalem's centre, Gilo is home to 40,000 Jewish residents and completes a ring of Jewish neighbourhoods through east Jerusalem that Palestinians say prevents the eastern side of the city from becoming a future capital of a Palestinian state.
The new construction plans raised the ire of the US, Britain and the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon.
The State Department spokesman, Ian Kelly, gave voice to US exasperation: ''We find the Jerusalem planning committee decision to move forward the approval process for the expansion of Gilo, in Jerusalem, as dismaying.''
The White House went further and reprimanded Israel on other activities. ''The US also objects to other Israeli practices in Jerusalem related to housing, including the continuing pattern of evictions and demolitions of Palestinian homes. Our position is clear: the status of Jerusalem is a permanent status issue that must be resolved through negotiations between the parties,'' the White House spokesman, Robert Gibbs, said.
Diplomatic sources said Israeli officials ignored a request on Monday by President Barack Obama's envoy, George Mitchell, to halt the Gilo decision. Mr Ban also issued a tersely worded statement, deploring the Israeli Government's decision on the Gilo settlement.
''The Secretary-General reiterates his position that settlements are illegal, and calls on Israel to respect its commitments under the road map to cease all settlement activity, including natural growth,'' a statement issued by his office said, referring to the peace plan that foresees two states living side by side.
Since he was sworn into office in January, a key plank of Mr Obama's strategy to restart peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians has been to demand that Israel cease all settlement construction in the West Bank and east Jerusalem.
Israel has repeatedly refused to consider a construction freeze of any kind in east Jerusalem, offering instead to impose a construction pause in the West Bank during the resumption of future negotiations with the Palestinians.
Despite its ostensibly tough stance, the Obama Administration has sent mixed signals.
Last month the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, praised Mr Netanyahu's offer as ''unprecedented''. But in the face of a furious response across the Arab world, and the announcement by the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, that he would quit politics, Mr Obama has renewed his insistence that Israel halt all settlement construction.
In Israel's biggest selling newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, yesterday the columnist Shimon Shiffer wrote that the latest statement from the White House indicated that the ''Obama Administration has decided to change the rules of the game and not to behave like other US administrations in the past''.
Mr Mitchell ''has been trying for some time to persuade Israel that it is not enough to declare twice a day its desire to renew negotiations,'' the columnist wrote, adding: ''Israel, say the Americans, has to change its mode of conduct in so far as it pertains to construction in the territories.''

Under Israel's "Law of Return", any Jew can go to an Israeli Consulate and obtain instant Israeli citizenship. There are millions of potential duel U.S./Israeli Jews here in America, thus Israel has a huge gene pool for future wars. Iran is Israel's next target, and once again it will be mainly U.S. gentiles who will die and kill for Zionist expansion.

CMor I think your right, I remember seeing TV footage of a young fashionable Israeli man walking in downtown Israel with a latte and he was saying to the reporter very casually " America will take care of us". I cannot site the show but I remember it, just like I remember the shock of hearing about the reporter that was fired for speaking out against the Iraq war just before the invasion. I knew we were in for trouble when I saw that.

I started to read the history of Communism: not only the ideology, but about the participants as well.
I have read (among others) a book from C Andrew and O Gordievsky about the Soviet Gulag camps. You know who were the architects of that horror? Almost all of the Jews!! Genrikh Yagoda, that butcher was only one of them. The Cheka (predecessor of the KGB) was brought about by Jews! The Communist terror in Europe (in Germany, Hungary, Poland, etc.) was organized by Jews. Did you know that? Do they teach this in the USA's schools? Anybody heard about the Gulag outposts of Magadan, Kolyma or the Solovetsky Islands? But Auschwitz needs no comment...
How about the Jewish Bolshevik bosses who herded the peoples of the Kaukazus (Chechens, Ingushes, etc.) after their bloody victory for Communist power, on foot all the way to Kazakhstan?? Normally cattle is treated better than these people were! How about the Jewish victors of WWII, who herded the ethnic Germans from Poland (Silesia) from the Czech Republic (Sudetenland), from Hungary, Romania and various parts of the Soviet Union ON FOOT to Germany, after confiscating everything from them. After marching them for thousands of kilometers on foot, raping, beating and abusing them, many hundreds of thousands died. Anyone cared? After all, they have lost the war...
Then there were the labour camps after WWII in various Eastern European countries, where the guards were chosen from Jews. They were even encouraged to torture the Germans, no matter if they were old women, pregnant women or even small children. (Solomon Morel...)
Anybody heard of these criminal deeds? A very close relative of mine was one of the guards in such a labour camp in Poland. He left after a couple of weeks of seeing pointless tortures and killings. He ended his life by his own hands just a couple of years after that... His ideas of revenge were very different from the others.
I write these things under alias, as I am ashamed of talking bad of "my people". But certain things just need to be said. We are people, just like any other. And we should all face our shortcomings and stop playing the eternal victims. We are victims, maybe: of our own illusions and manipulations.

I travel a lot around the world and see and hear what people are saying about us. Please do me a favour and do the same - you'll be taken aback what people are really thinking of us! I have stopped saying that I was born a Jew (JOOOOO??) - simply because people tend to generalize.
My thinking is, that as we live in the diaspora without incidents, if we try and behave like other citizens of the host country, that's fine, we have no problems. Where I live now, in big cities there is a sizeable Jewish (JOOOOOOOISH) population, there are no dramas around us/them.
If a Jew (JOOOO) chooses to live in Israel - fine, as long as they accept that there is a neighbourhood full with peoples, who lived there for millenia, while most of us wondered. After the Germans/Poles/Ukrainians/etc. wronged us, what right do we have to harm the Palestinians? Because they live on lands that we need to have "Lebensraum"? Just think about it!

I have recently (yesterday) discovered the start up group that will be known as 'Answer to the People'. A non profit that will NOT be a 501 like CD* since they intend to 'affect' legislation by a very unique process. They will move to 'enforce' the laws already in existence. The crimes of the United States and their many allies including Israel,and any of those the world over. Their motto is 'let no voice be silenced'. The concept is very simple. If enough people say NO to an action by other people, their collective voice will be strong enough to stop those in the minority who insist upon the crimes they commit in the name of others.

The world needs to cut off all funding to Israel until they decide that working toward a peaceful middle east is more important than catering to their own distorted sense of entitlement.

–This, regrettably, is not too far from the truth. Experientially, more often than not, the silence from many Jews does mask a consent, however ambivalent or latent.
We have found that many (but by no means all) of our Jewish friends have repressed what amounts to a closeted, if not' tacit consent' for the crimes of Israel as a form of social politesse and discretion.
This is not an 'unexpected' phenomena as this has been pointed out by all too many Jewish friends who have 'outed' their own relatives over such hidden approval of what they rightfully deem to be unconscionable.
When they are engaged, either in conversation or even accidentally–deeper– subtle and not so subtle corroboration's of what was formerly concealed, are divulged, albeit obliquely.
Sadly, these friendships have withered away of their own accord. The psychic and emotional toll on Jews of conscience, who do 'speak out' is as vast as it is haunting. Many Jewish families remain permanently estranged on the fault lines.

The ongoing parade of US "negotiators" (through many US administrations) to Israel/Palestine is just a big charade capped off by the recent statement of Hilary Clinton to the Israelis to just "slow down" the confiscation and destruction of Palestinian homes, buildings, etc., all of which has been condemned many times by the UN.
If the US was really committed to peace in the Middle East it would stop sending billions of US taxpayers dollars each year to Israel, which dollars are used for military purposes, principally against the Palestinians.

Until the influence of AIPAC is broken or greatly modified, we can all forget about any US objectivity in the Israel/Palestine problem and any lasting peace in the Middle East.
